Studio scale Tantive IV

That pic rules!

"there's this fella in Norway I think? Making the Princess' Ship.." and I said "Lasse! It's completely amazing" and he said "oh! You know him! Yeah, he's making it FAR nicer than we did!..."

Figured you'd be on top of the world, knowing that!! Well deserved praise!!

Thank you my friend, that one goes straight into the vault of gems :$

Incredible job Lasse! You really don't get an idea of the size until you're seen standing next to it. It's interesting what Lorne said about it being a better job than what they did. That's what I love about what you're doing here too. It's not just recreating it with kit parts. And that paint job is amazing too! :thumbsup

this is defenatetly the best build ive ever seen here or anywhere else. i would love to see this one up close...simply breath takeing !

I second that. The weathering on those panels is bloody brilliant. The subtle variation of colour hues ,particularly as can be seen on the red sections is so close to " real life". And the scale of it!!!! Amazing build.

I have made a revised version of the upper side turrets. The first was too large and the detailing was too "pronounced".
The MK2 is completely scratch built, no machining done at all :cool
This is the master almost ready for moulding, just a little fine sanding...

Moldmaking new turret and friends

I'm a lurker here for more than 5 years and I decided to post (you can see my work at Propsummit) I've always been a fan of your Art and this build is just incredible in every way. The amount of details is just mindboggling; no wonder Lorne Peterson is a fan!
Keep up the good work and looking forward to more updates as the work progress.

Thanks :)
The turrets are now molded, cast, primed and assembled :D

Lasse,

I just want to thank you for sharing your talent with us.

You were one of the inspirations for my return to model making about two years ago after i googled deathstar model and came across your old site Starwarz.

I love all of your work, it's simply stunning sir.

I just completed my own scratch build of an original ship of my own design The Nylon Gag MK1 ( http://www.therpf.com/f11/scratch-built-delivery-ship-3011ad-nylon-gag-mk-1-finished-151174/)

I just wondered have you ever considered doing an original piece because with your talent you could come up with something awesome buddy.

Gag

(more video's please)

Beautiful and crisp once again...I think that one day, someone should organize a "side-by-side comparison" between Fan-made models and the Originals. My bet is that some of the Fan-made models could be undistinguishable from the Original ones.
Looking at the level of care and research of some of the members here is truly humbling.
