Studio scale Tantive IV

Thankyou sooooo much for that video Lasse, really incredible, especially seeing you doing the casting. You really do make it look effortless, but that is the first sign of a true artist mate!.
I can't get over how clear your vids are as well, they are just so professional & just make you want to keep watching over & over.
Cheers

Lasse do you have 48 hour days there in Oslo? The videos are beautiful, obviously informative & funny! Thank you for sharing.

Just an update un the progress of detailing the thruster assembly. I have done a LOT of scratch work to get the "signature" details as close to the original as possible. There is still a lot more to do.....

Lasse, your gunna feel pretty empty when this is finished, where do you go from here?

Its by far your best work with out a shadow of doubt and something with almost no shadow of doubt be a one off that will most likely never be tackled agin by anyone.

Have you got plans for something after this or is it back to the cave for a rest?

Actually, i believe i will feel fulfilled when it is completed. The Tantive IV is one of my longest standing goals, and having it finished will be a relief. I want to do other models after this - maybe a 1:18 Y-wing?
I also plan to spend some quality time with my gorgeous girlfriend :)

Ahhh, but the creative instinct never goes away Lasse!. After youv'e finished this fantastic Blockade Runner & in between spending some quality time with your girlfriend, couldn't you squeeze in, say a 5' Falcon build, done in your impeccable style?. Just a thought mate lol:lol.

Whatever your next project is Lasse, it will be eagerly watched.
You are a true craftsman & it's a priviledge to have been witness to your builds!.
Cheers

That engine block is just plain awesome. Dont think its ever about topping a build though, more, learning something new for the next build, and pushing yourself further, which is why i look at this, and feel like going back to snapfast kits :lol.

1/18 Y wing would be so cool, maybe a large scale "Hero" Snowspeeder, hell a Medical Frigate.....oh wait, Lasse's girlfriend may read this....:angel.....discount all my ideas, i didnt say a word :lol.

Empty was the wrong choice of word mate, I meant that when its done after all the hard work, time and energy there is a void to be filled.

Hey Lasse, can you tell me the source of that styrene vent sheet that you were using for the round vent thingies on the top of the engine structure please?. Is it a Plastruct or Evergreen product?. Can't seem to find it anywhere mate, I would most like to get some.:confused

Every update is just a treat Lasse, the engines look staggering!.
Cheers
Stu

Thanks to you all for the nice comments on thgis thread, it really touches me :)
There is no source for the vent sheet, it was made from a 3 mm styrene sheet in a CNC controlled milling machine at work. I just grabbed the sheet left over :lol

About the next project, i have a special feeling for the Y-Wing, i just love ships with those large engines / thrusters.Maybe i could do another 1:18 kit?

A 5`Falcon would of course also be i favour, but i feel it has been done so many times now.I seek to do things that no one else has done, at least in different scales.
