Ever discover what that "mystery part" was?I thought it might have been the 1/48 bandai scale Mobel Wagen?I'm not really sure?I didn't recognize the part when it was shown a while back. Are there better close ups of the part?

We've been through that kit already. Nada. Probably, it's a combination of several kit parts, like much of the rest of Slave.

Anyway, I can't say enough good things about this hull. It's absolutely beautiful. Impressively, large. But, not so large that it requires a museum to display. It's just about the most perfectly suited studio scale replica you will ever hope to find.

That's awesome Allan, this pic is a killer :

Well now, who is going to scratchbuilt this mysterious part and who's gonna to leave a blank area ?
I plan to mask the place of the part then add some glue marks on mine ! :love

Cool Allan, I'm glad it got there ok, I was worried about it, you know how shipping companies are. Now we can get the undercarriage and the rest of the stuff figured out.

As for that mystery part, I'm going to scratchbuild one and include it in the kit as a glue on piece, if sometime in the future it's ever ID'd then I'll send it out to everyone that has the kit free of charge.

Wow that's very nice Rich ! Many thanks ! :thumbsup

I can't wait to buy one.I hope I'll be able to afford it,but I'll sell my blood and a kidney if I have to.You guys are doing a beautiful job,I can't praise your efforts enough.Did anyone try asking Tim Ketzer if he knows what the mystery part is?He was building a S.S Slave I a while back, but he stopped working on it.

Tim has stopped building it. He really doesn't have the spare time. And he does not really frequently visit the rpf. Please post a pic of the part in question and I'll discuss it with him.

Thomas

Working on the undercarriage placement. The platform on the kit was removed and a separate platform will be made for better fitment (is that a word?) later.

Yeah. I found the mystery part(s) evident on the port side of the hull when the pics used in Chronicles and SAG were taken.

Raise your hand if you thought this information bought you leverage.

You can put it down, now.

Good work, Allan! I just saw the pics, it's definitely the parts! Sweet.
