As many of you are aware I am going through my mid-life crisis by Detailed Modelling and Printing the Studio Scale Falcon.

Given the amount of assistance and general goodwill from within the Community - I am putting the files out for no charge to anyone who wants to give this a go as well. - I started this new thread to mainly just focus on the printing side of things, and for me to post updates as models are brought online.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT NOTE
To stop people just ripping off these files - and to make it easier for me to notify users of changes, updates etc, I am stopping all general public access sharing soon.
They are still free for anyone who wants to print them, you will just need to PM me your Email Address for access, and I will add you to my Falcon Mailing list, as well as send you an invite to the files.

So to pre-empt the switch over, feel free to flick me requests for access now.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is still a long way off completion, but we do have quite a few printed cockpits already out in the wild - and a lot more parts coming online every few weeks.

The documentation is still a bit of a WIP, so flick me a message if there are any questions - documents will update over time.
Main Document

This is the main drive folder as well

for those with Bambu Printers - there are a few 3MF project files, I'm still finishing off some more for the frame, but there is a full set for the docking tubes

I would suggest doing the cockpit if you haven't already, then the docking tubes and rings, or the Upper Turret and Guns.
I'm still finalizing a few things with the jaws and the frame is subject to change over time (the printed parts anyway)

Keep in mind this entire project is still in development - so there is still 8 months or so to go (Hopefully)
Anyway - have fun

You, Sir, are a gentleman and scholar!

I am so tempted to just print the cockpit for action figures!
Daddyfromnaboo, I couldn't resist......I took it to 1/12 black series scale. Had to do some slight modifications to some of the files to make it more printing friendly for that scale but it turned out amazing!! I made a back cover for the hull so I can hide the electronics for the lighting that I will be adding to it. I'm currently working on a display stand for it as well. Dazza007, thanks for sharing these amazing detailed files. Ive been wanting to make this for some time and your files are beyond anyone else's that are out there in my opinion!!

Fantastic! That´s what I had in mind! Iwill keep a close eye on your progress! Would you mind creating a separate thread to document your build progress?

I made first prints with parts from the cockpit. The parts fit the bed from my BambuLab A1 mini, except i had to cut the main tube into two pieces. Whole piece is too high for the A1 mini. Seats and all other parts fit. Outcome is pretty nice...

Thanks again, i am planning to do a cockpit only version with a shorter main tube.

Daddy from Naboo, no problem. here is the link for the build

Hello and thank you very much! I'm following your project and I'm going to try and print It in resina at 1/72 scale. The originale scale of your file are 1/24?

Hi Seeadler - that has always been a tricky question - the best I can determine is its around 1:22, but a lot of people accept 1:24 as the scale.

You can follow the debate at the above link.
Anyway have fun -
Cheers Darrin
