Re: ID help Studio Scale A wing.

Focusing on these now, the top one I know I've seen or maybe used on my snowspeeder but cant remember?

the left/right rods are very similar to the SU 85 but they're too small in this kit

I think the 4 under the Karl part or navel, possibly 1/700, your the man for Navel Julien, any idea's?

Hey Guy,

I have those cannons but I cant tell you the kit right now, no idea ! Im pretty sure it's not from a Tamiya kit but from a revell one. Cant check before next week though !

Re: ID help Studio Scale A wing.

Its looking like the Meat wagon vents are around 15% too small, it may be down to angles but I'm happy to use em em if nothing better turns up.

Hmmm maybe they are right?

Re: ID help Studio Scale A wing.

No, looks like each louvre needs to be as tall as the 25 pdr part.

My bad! :confused

Re: ID help Studio Scale A wing.

JD, theyre pretty damn close, I've been trying to find a similar wagon that may also have the louvre but no luck so far? Theyre still the next best thing & I'd rather use them then scratch them. So its still a good find mate.

Re: ID help Studio Scale A wing.

Closest part ive seen, and ive looked for this one for quite some time.
The vent, is shorter than the 25PDR part, not my much, and, that pic isnt dead on, so, i wouldnt discount it so quickly JD, even if it turns out its the wrong part, its an awesome second guess, and id use it TBH!

Re: ID help Studio Scale A wing.

Lee, I'm driving up to London on Monday, so if your around I could bob in for a brew on the way. I need to be in London at 6.30pm. Let me know if this works

Re: ID help Studio Scale A wing.

I think this is close or even correct, there are 3 on the A wing

8RAd4.jpg

I just noticed that this part is also used on the 32 falcon on either side of the top middle strip between the mandibles. It def has the ridges on one side that the 8RAd part doesn't. Originally I thought it was jst marks in the paint but now from looking at my MR falcon it seems that its not 8 RAd parts? Any falcon experts that can help? I'll rout out pics to show what I mean.

Falcon parts are from the 1/20 Tyrrell 6 wheeler - ford engine, part is cut in half. Same engine in the JPS kit too.

Re: ID help Studio Scale A wing.

Thanks Moe, I may have got it wrong though as it is just a flat plat on the Awing with teeth along one edge. I thought the part on the Falcon may have had parts added to it but if its an engine part trimmed up then it wont be the same as the A wing. My lack of knowledge kicking in there a bit.

So back to the A wing part, I'm convinced still its not 8 RAd but nearly identical except for the teeth on one edge, ring any bells with anyone?

Re: ID help Studio Scale A wing.

I think I just found the winch-like part. I was searching for something else at the time. The parts on the right of the photo.
