There was nothing remotely ‘art film’ about TLJ. More like a film student tries playing at making an art film with disastrous consequences for all!

Well I certainly loved it. And I tend to kinda picky about my films.

For me personally I like the lone hero thing

But mainly it's because George was very adamant that Luke doesn't get married.

I stand by my earlier statements that the production design by and large for Star Wars has consistently been exceptional. Great design work going on even if I don't always care for the finished film. Very cool packaging too!

Yayyy more X-wings with different paint jobs... I truly don't mean to be such a cynic but holy crap why cant they come up with something more imaginative in the ST? We got new classes of military ships added with every film in the OT (and the PT for that matter but its done weird)... And it subtly showed tech advancing without being all in your face about it. Hell even R1 did it! I mean all their ships were destroyed with the Radis so now's the perfect time to introduce something new
Just out of curiosity, is the physical model design the same as his last one? Was this only done so they would only have to change the paint on the toys and make bank on the same crap?

It looks to be another T-70, like we've seen in the other films. And actually do have a newer model X-wing. They introduced the T-85 in Resistance.

I mean we are getting new models of ships. But its clear they want to keep things feeling similar, yet different. And there's only so much you can do in Z-95/ARC-170/X-wing family. Without going completely different, like the N-1 or droid starfighters.

Oh that reminds me of the artwork in those Star Wars Technical Journals from the 1990's. I used to love those things! 3 volumes. One on the Rebels. One on the Imperials. One on Tatooinne.

Opening up the old A-Wing size discrepancy again,....going by the official dimensions that A-Wing looks tiny

It's length is supposed to be 9.6m, an X-Wing is 13.4m,....going by that image, it brings the A-Wing down to under 7m
