I caught the Ep. I trailer with "Enemy Of The State". I stuck around, and enjoyed the movie. That feeling of seeing the first glimpse of new SW, after so many years, though...

I haven't been this excited over anything relating to SW, in a very long time. I'm back to talking about it with friends, and I missed that.

Current rumor is the Trailer for E7 will be at the release of The Hobbit Battle of the Five Armies (a hint was tweeted about a quote from Tommy Gormley, the first assistant director on The Force Awakens that you may want to go see The Hobbit ... then the tweet eventually was removed)

there will be the one minute trailer thats been talked about, and a full trailer. Likely the full trailer will be with the Hobbit with the one minute showing up on a Disney product. Or, the flip side is the one minute with Hobbit, the full trailer during the super bowl. Im thinking the first one though. Toys will start showing up on shelves sooner than later.

So what is the current fan speculation on what 7,8 and 9 are about? From what I remember is that it deals with Han and Leia's children. I don't remember if that was from Lucas, comics (canon?) or what.

That was from the first set of novels that came out in the 90's by Timothy Zahn called Heir to the Empire. Great trilogy if you ask me. It took place maybe what... 10-20 years after ROTJ... It basically added to the SW Universe and started the whole 3rd party additions to the canon.

Lost control? I thought they were doing a pretty good job of keeping everything pretty secret. I wouldn't say any of the things that have been leaked are really spoiling anything since we don't know the context of most of it.

Yeah, all things considered, I think they have done a remarkable job keeping their secrets. I mean we know nothing about the majority of the cast, all the rumors have fixated on three characters for the most part.

Yes they've done quite a good job keeping things secret, yet at the same time revealing enough to tease just about everyone. Especially in an age where information spreads so quickly.

But the most valuable currency might be dispensed via social media, where a picture or plot spoiler could earn the person who shares it major social standing and relevance in the Star Wars geek universe.

Huh? I know of Steve Sansweet, Gus Lopez, etc., but I've never seen some guy who leaked a SW set photo as a major personality in the fan community.

thats a shame. the effects and costumes and props are incredible. the bastardisation of the stories aside they're pretty awesome to watch
