Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Pre-release) (Spoilers)

That singular eye look reminds me of the Guardian Forces from Freedom Fighter.

Interesting to me that the Kylo Ren figure shown by Hot Toys does not (so far) appear to have an "unmasked head/ Adam Driver" head accessory . I'd kind of assumed up to now that there would be scenes in the movie with both his mask on and off (as in the Vanity Fair pics.). Seems odd to put Adam Driver in the suit at all if they don't show his face - they could just have pulled a David Prowse/JEJ thing.

So, to me, that either means that he doesn't take his mask off during the film – which I would find cool – or Driver's appearance under the mask is going to have some additional element making it a spoiler.

Possible, there is no clear indication he does take it off in whats leaked and rumored and no idea if he may be somehow augmented, although I am inclined to think not on that one.

True enough, hell even Anakin when you look at him and then Vader you kinda go "hn? wha?" :lol if Kylo is a Vader fanatic it would make sense he makes the helmet so he sounds like Vader.

I still wonder if he's a clone of Vader, make a good interesting story if he was.

A little possible info on the universe from Aftermath: http://www.blastr.com/2015-9-4/star...earned-new-book-and-hints-about-force-awakens

If Luke has been sitting on his butt for all this time and hasn't trained at least a handful of Jedi in 30 years, then these movies already failed in my view.

Your comment post on that recap site was on point. Thirty years is a long time and the lack of background development, even though it's early, is just plain lame. Rebs aren't even a New Republic, still a Resistence. No other Force sensitive trainees at all. Get over it Farm Boy. Grow a pair and do something contributive. No wonder the First Order has new Superweapons, mass military and focus. These new movies look to be a retread of the Old Trilogy. No wonder I get a better feeling for the Anthology films.

All the tidbits point to a rhythm and structure very similar to ANH. Many of the sequences seem right out of ANH. The opening is especially similar. That's fine with me. I don't understand cries for "originality". Every hero's tale is the same. I see Star Wars, or at least the classic archetypes and arcs in everything. It's the same story told with different costumes and names. The most important thing is an enjoyably told story.

i really hope luke taught acouple of at least 1 person about the force, yoda insisted "pass on what you have learned"

I believe Luke might be a bit scared of training someone and doing a bad job; like what Obi-Wan told him happened to Vader.
And if I was force sensitive and Luke wouldn't teach me I might become bitter and try to make up for my feeling of inadequacy with power. (Cough...Kylo Ren)

Just a theory.

Looks like they've gone in the same direction as the EU in at least one way......a super weapon.

The rumors seem to indicate Luke does try and train some Jedi, possibly even Maz, but something terrible happens seen in the flashback that sends him into exile about 10-15 years before the events of TFA. And yes there are two super weapons in the film, the Resistance has one too.

Retread, huh? Yeah, OK.

Why would you get a better feeling about "anthology films" which have not been detailed really at all so far and are still very much the stuff of speculation? We have TONS more on tap about TFA than what is "known" about "possible" "anthology films" and you have more faith in them than what we've seen and heard so far legitimately in TFA?

I guess all of us who are super excited to see what's on screen this December are just kidding ourselves then, right?

Yeah, I find it extraordinary anyone participating in this thread and reading the story synopsis can come to the conclusion it's a retread of the OT. It's not, at all. So I have to assume anyone saying that has not read this thread or has no basic understanding of how a story is constructed.
