Hope they don’t use the term sith in this series…
Call me crazy... But I'm guessing they show the origins of the the Knights of Ren....Hope they don’t use the term sith in this series…
I’d pay to see that film
If they did that it wouldn't go over well, especially in the context of the OT. It would seem as though The Emperor would have just forgotten about using them for anything during that whole time period...along with the PT. With that said, i'm sure they will do whatever they can to make their precious ST work to some degree but that would be consistent atleast for them. Anything to distract from an actual good story. Gotta throw in as many "Squirrels" but i shouldn't go trying to beat a dead Tauntaun with a lightsaber. lolCall me crazy... But I'm guessing they show the origins of the the Knights of Ren....

I thought canon wise the knights of ren evolved from the “acolytes from beyond” which were those with artifact collects after vaders fall…
Wonder if that still a thing?
I feel like book/comic "canon" is still a lower tier of "canon" and open to some soft retconning.I thought canon wise the knights of ren evolved from the “acolytes from beyond” which were those with artifact collects after vaders fall…

I honestly have never heard of the Knights of Ren until the ST...that was the basis of my comment above. I don't read the books or comics, just being honest. So, when i make a comment, i should always preface it with, "My idea of Canon is the OT exclusively..."Movie Canon". With live action TV shows, it gets confusing when they integrate stuff that doesn't make sense to me within the parameters of the foundation of Star Wars(The OT). I've told you before, i like Kotor but i know its not official Canon but atleast it was far enough back that you could play around with it in your creative mind and, oh yeah, the storyline was brilliant! That makes a world of difference for me. Same with Jedi Outcast, Academy etc. Even the force unleashed had better storyline and characters than anything we've seen of late.(Since the ST)I feel like book/comic "canon" is still a lower tier of "canon" and open to some soft retconning.
It's just the helmet in the trailer it looks like a Knights of Ren helmet. Or I guess every dark side group goes to the same armorer.
Count me out of that, I don’t want to lose a earI'd pay to see someone say it to his face.![]()

KOTOR is far enough back that if you suddenly made it all canon - nothing changes in anything else they've done on screen. It has no impact.I honestly have never heard of the Knights of Ren until the ST...that was the basis of my comment above. I don't read the books or comics, just being honest. I agree with your comment on KOTOR....and i see what you are trying to say about the real world we live in but that can be apples to oranges in a fictional universe. The characters in that story have different lifespans(Yoda etc.) than they do in our real world, so to incorporate the Knights of Ren 100 years before the Phantom Menace and Yoda is alive at that point and would have seen and known about them, and then leading up to the PT, Palpatine and the intro to the cast that is within the parameters of the Skywalkers would have atleast mentioned something about them if relevant. That is the problem. Then the Empereor during the OT would have known about them etc...no mention. Why? They didn't exist...but wait a minute...they are in the ST somehow.KOTOR is far enough back that if you suddenly made it all canon - nothing changes in anything else they've done on screen. Same is largely true of the video games other than DF conflicting with Rogue 1.
That is the problem though, when you focus ALL your efforts on one tiny aspect of a galaxy. The High Republic stuff can end 100 years before TPM and have it have no bearing on anything. I mean, look at today. In 110 years time we've had 2 world wars, plus countless other things...tons of things happen in 100 years time. It's the entire reason for branching out to different areas, one thing can have literally nothing to do with the other.
Which Mike also uses to promote his brand " ear bites". Mike can laugh at himself which is what we should be willing to do more of too. I find it interesting that people can get all up in bunches and offended with an obvious, light hearted joke, meaning no harm, but be totally ok with Disney executives using social media to spew vehement accusations towards fans, calling them bigots and racists etc. for simply not liking their brand, not caring that by labeling people by those names are ruining peoples lives...all while playing the victim card. On the lighter side...I went for speech therapy for many years as a kid for the same reason as Mike...lol...It ith what it ith...lol.“Social media made y'all way too comfortable with disrespecting people and not getting punched in the face for it.”
