Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

Can someone explain, in spoiler text if needed, exactly what my old broken down eyes aren't seeing here.

It looks to be a similar species to this guy. If you look at the skull in the treasure room episode, it is similar also.

Also wanted to share that my grandson & I have been watching the Young Jedi Adventures, & although I doubt there's any real connection since it takes place during the HR Era, the antagonists in that show are mostly pirates. Been keeping my eyes out for any Easter Eggs, but as I've already proven today, I ain't catching much. LOL

.... I’m uncomfortable watching an adult threaten children......
Agreed, I was sure one of the kids would have pull something out of their hats when Jod threatened them with the light saber, but no, they are just ordinary kids, very frustrating to watch , they had to sit back and shut up. I was thinking that Wim liked so much the Jedi history that he would had pull a dark force move out of hatred or something like that... LOL

I finally had a chance to catch Skeleton Crew 1-7.
I really like it. A lot of Goonies vibes and giving everything a sense of wonder from the kids perspective is refreshing, particularly after atrocious writing in Acolyte.

Although I question Jod's ultimate goals as I feel he could have still ended up where he was at the end of 7 without threatening the kids so many times. My only major critique thus far.

Looking forward to the season ender.

I was typing this earlier but do not see my post:

If you follow the Long John Silver gist, a lot of his bluster is to make sure that they are scared enough to do what he says WITHOUT needing to actually prove his seriousness with true attacks. The mind games of Long John Silver do not work without his theatrics. If someone pushes you to prove it because they sense you won't back it up, it forces you to back it up. At least that was the treasure Island version.

I'm still half expecting winn to force the pull the saber at some point.

Industrial Light and Magic!
It's not ILM; it was Tippett Studios, the studio founded by former ILM stop-motion animator Phil Tippett. His studio was responsible for animating the CG dinosaurs in the first Jurassic Park Movie. ILM created the models but Tippett Studios animators were the ones that actually did the animations using specially designed rigs that allowed them to animate the models like actual physical stop-motion puppets/models.
