Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

I think that it's just a coincidence since SM33 actually has or had 2 eyes, it's not like he was built with just one eye like the At Attin security droids.
No, what I mean is if the droids on At Attin were made by the pirate taking over to keep the public in check, maybe he modeled them after his old droid that had a broken eye.

We never saw any security droids on that other planet, so they may not be an original part of the setup by the Republic to hide the planets.

It's not ILM; it was Tippett Studios, the studio founded by former ILM stop-motion animator Phil Tippett. His studio was responsible for animating the CG dinosaurs in the first Jurassic Park Movie. ILM created the models but Tippett Studios animators were the ones that actually did the animations using specially designed rigs that allowed them to animate the models like actual physical stop-motion puppets/models.
You’re so literal. Lol

I was wrong last time about Kh’ymm and Brutus. Scored a 1 out of 3. On top of that, Ep7 threw water on where I’d been certain this was going. Regardless, I’ll regroup and make a bunch of cryptic and misleading predictions for Ep8, not in chronological order…

Putting this behind a spoiler cut just in case one or two are correct.
  1. Jod truly is a basterd but I think he can be turned around.
  2. We’ll finally see Tak Rennod’s face, and we’ll finally see the Supervisor’s face.
  3. The assessment test is nonsense. The kids’ place in the Great Work has been predestined, by a character already shown.
  4. Brutus will make another appearance. That ol’ dog knows a few tricks!
  5. Rennod’s concubine will also make another appearance. Yes, another. She was at Port Borgo. We’ve seen her strong maternal instinct.
  6. If the first act of a classic fable was removed, would you still recognize it?
  7. Finally, some costume changes, some quite airy and revealing.
  8. Despite the short time remaining, they’ll stop at one more planet. We’ve seen it before, but not in this series yet.
  9. One specific city, even. A compact metropolis several miles across, known for its clouds, mining and ice cream maker guy.
  10. One or possibly two characters — Brutus and Wim — will have scenes where they’re portrayed by entirely different actors.
  11. Skeleton Crew’s canonicity will be hotly debated forever, completely missing the point. I am on Team Canon.
  12. There might be an epilogue and it might help settle this. If so, guesstimating around 45 ABY, but my math needs a reality check.
  13. The show practically demands an immediate re-watch to spot all the hints, eggs and foreshadowing. So many layers.
  14. See what I did there? And there? And there?

Don’t miss it! There’s the one twist reveal everyone’s expecting…and at least five more that’ve been hiding in plain sight. In another life, the writers of this show would’ve been pickpockets. Before you groan or get mad at the ending…you gotta admire their skill.

I think the At Attin droids are monoeyed because they're designed to evoke security cameras. E.g. the main characters' parents are under constant surveillance.

33 has one working eye because he's a robot pirate with a symbolic eyepatch.

No connection between the two.

I am enjoying the show, my only concern is the Disney mentality. "Hey, we did a Star Wars show about kids and it worked, let's do it again." What's next, Star Wars Babies?
