Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

I sure hope some questions are answered

- the supervisor knew about order 66, but he must not know of the empire taking over.. so what happened there

- the “old republic credits” are we referring to the “prequels republic” ?

- the old republic credits were being made and regularly picked up?

These are all from my understanding, but:

-The supervisor was programmed to receive transmissions from the Republic, but not send anything out, per their Security protocols mentioned several times through out the series. Presumably once the transition happened to the Empire, they were no longer receiving transmissions from the Republic on the same frequencies or security protocols as the Republic transmissions so the Supervisor either was simply not getting anything new because news and info wasn't coming in on the channels they were programmed to monitor and/or the Supervisor was not accepting any new transmissions or information from anyone who was not classified as the Republic.

-Presumable even older than the Prequels, possibly even High or Old Republic, so 100s of years before the Prequels, but still essentially the same government. Just not the New Republic.

-Being continuously made but not picked up. None of the citizens seemed to understand or be aware of the protocols for the pick up. They new an emissary could come and pick up credits but it seemed to be more in theory than in practice since they all seemed caught off guard by where the ship was landing, and the grass in the courtyard even seemed to be grown over where the landing pad was. Coupled with the thick layers of dust in the Supervisors chambers, the intent seems to be that it was a very long time since anyone visited or contacted them. I also think the fact it was implied that they had filled up 1,139 vaults full of credits meant that no shipments had gone out for a considerable amount of time.

Do you think they “never” had anyone pick up credits?

And we are made to believe palpatine never knew about at Attin?

OK—I finally broke down and streamed this show this weekend while shut-in with below freezing temperatures.

Not a bad little show. That’s pretty much all I have to say, beyond being happy to see something made after the high-point of Andor that didn’t generate disappointment. It’s unfortunate that I am hearing that it didn’t generate a whole lot of interest.

Now…as to whether Harold Q. Palpatine knew about the location of the At-Attin…I have to assume that if you found either a Sith Dagger that you could hold-up to the wreckage of the Second Death Star, or a Sith Wayfinder, you could find the Treasure Planet; it just makes sense.

I thought the series got off to a slow start but by the end really enjoyed it. They really nailed the 80's kids' adventure feeling. I was close to giving up on the franchise given Disney's recent output, but even though it's perhaps not traditional SW, I'd be happy to see more content in this vein.

One thing I really miss is Tuesday nights Wednesday morning talking with friends about the episode

Or just having something to look forward to…

Than again I still have vanja from 90 day fiancé on Sunday nights…

Yeah.. vanja

1.) Oof.

2.) Severance is back! Season 2 just started, it's a fantastic show, I'd recommend it if you haven't seen it. My weeks are now measured in "days until next Severance."
Mythic Quest Season 4! (January 29 I believe)

"DINNAH PAHTEE!"

I don't know why people would assume Princess Leia was on that Corellean Corvette. It wasn't her personal ship and the Rebellion has to have more than one.

I think it depends on what role Leia was filling at the moment. If she's in charge, then no, she shouldn't be on that ship. But if Mon Mothma is still presiding, it makes sense to send Leia as an emissary.

At Attin is suddenly VERY important to the New Republic, so it makes sense to send the top brass.

Didn’t even think of Mon Mothma! Yea! That’s another great option!

Kind of odd there’s not been more activity in this thread for a finale episode, especially given the series was so good. I wonder if people have stopped tuning in to Disney Plus series? I assume there’s probably a lot less casual viewers too.
I cancelled my subscription a long time ago now (I've watched this series at my friend's). Like it very much, including the wife (which is quite surprising:D). I was right saying that the Supervisor would be a "Wizard of Oz" moment and a wink to HAL (red eye)...but no character behind the curtain:(. I give it a 8 out of 10.(y)(y)

IDK if I'd say that the Supervisor wasn't a character anymore than I'd say that R2 or 3PO weren't characters. We just had extremely limited time with them.

Just my opinion though.

I just want to see the credit tank because suddenly there’s an influx of money in the galaxy.

Yeah, I think the New Republic is going to have to be very careful how that cash makes its way from At Attin. It can't just be a free-for-all or the credit WILL tank.
