Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

I haven’t tuned-in to this show, but curious if the impression is that the “Sad Dumbo” character is being positioned as the next “Baby Yoda” by Disney?

On the telescope thing, not exactly the same but at least twice a character uses a blaster scope like a telescope.

Sabine Wren did it in the ‘Clone Wars’ and Mando did it in ‘The Mandalorian’. So the concept of using a telescope-style magnifying scope is not new.

Also, we didn’t see from that short scene in ‘Skeleton Crew’ if that was a glass lense ocular telescope or he was seeing a digital display similar to a macobinocular.

Well, the good thing about those dwellings is that they don't have the "Andor Brick" as cladding:lol::lol::lol:
"My family has been in this house for generations. They practically built this place with their own blood sweat and tears....."

Andor: "Hold my beer..."

You're still referencing Disney Star Wars though

Boba had a range finder in Real Star Wars, thats the difference

The point I was making really is that Disney is literately showing us pirates with the hats, west country accents, telescopes & compasses, whereas George gave us Han Solo & his first mate, his Pirate ship with smuggling compartments etc.....Jabba's crew with skiffs (walking the plank etc) all done with a new take on it. I just think Disney misunderstands the product they bought, or they are too lazy.

Yes, but I’m comparing Disney SW to Disney SW.

To me Star Wars is Star Wars, I don’t divide SW into sub-groups but I respect that some people do. To me it’s all the same. Some SW is just better than others but to me it’s all the same.

Actually it's interesting you bring up andor because now that I think about it it's fairly earth town as well... I wonder why it feels distinctly spacey to me and at attin doesn't? Maybe something to do with the camera angles?
I mean, ferrix is significantly more weathered but naboo is quite clean and earthlike too so I feel like there is a variable here that is getting missed. The fact I've lived in a suburb? The safety droids being unique to at attin and not recognizable as a star wars thing?
I feel like im rummaging around the cupboards of my brain trying to figure out why it's thinking this haha

the flipping effect between slides almost made it feel kind of analog, like theres actually microfilm inside thats spinning around.
Ya the flipping caught my eye. Not going to describe this right but hang with me for a sec. If this is an instructional style writing (his tablet tales) and is on his personal kids tablet (sturdier than the pro version) and he was looking at a non-video, page based story..... isn't it kind of a cool idea that you could progress through the story in more than one way, one direction? So, if I am catching it right, they can not only view the scene on the page from numerous angles possibly immersive 3d, not just one angle 3d but in a near 2d presentation AND scroll/flip to side content about the scene..... similar to having the imdb app or commentary tracks turned on but only when you wish. Sorry, but dealing with education software rollouts for so many years, this intrigues me. Does this sound right for what we are seeing?

I finally watched it and immediately re-watched all pirate scenes of Mando. Didn't have much time for rewatches lately, so it was a blast. The photography of the aerial and space fights is breathtakingly awesome. I'm really pumped for the next episodes of "Skeleton Crew" and I really, really, REALLY hope they keep up the pacing, style, adventure and humour. It feels like Mando season 1 again. The aliens are especially cool, that crab / lobster head is very high on my wishlist now:

Halliwax : Remember that one scene in the Book of Boba Fett where that gunslinger with the big hat appeared? I have a GOOD feeling about something like that to happen here. We should watch out for the kids bumping into R5-P8..! ;)
