STAR WARS - Skeleton Crew props & costume

I'm voting for 1.75inch. Tried to check the belt height by comparing Jude Law's height (1.82m) from the cutout against a screenshot from episode 7 where the belt is visible and he stands relatively straight. Green bar is approximately 1.82m, and I then compared this with the approximate belt height (red bar). Higher res pictures gave me lots of pixels to do some calculations, ended up somewhere around 4.8cm (~1.89 inches). Considering that this is only approximate (think a few pixel less for the red bar make a big difference), and this number is heigher than 1.75in, I feel quite comfortable with this guess.

Also, here's the belt screenshot from this scene:

I laughed so hard. I couldn't find one where he stood straight AND was showing the buckle. This is a great method with the split pic. I came up with the same rough measurement after using your split pic in my measurement app. Looks to have between 3.74 to 4 inch total width on the actual ornament buckle. The upper and lower belt look to be the same width as well but the upper is curling due to its position into the abdomen so presents slightly smaller visually.

I also found a really good full height pic at a company that does cardboard standups. I cannot vouch for them as a company but I am posting the link here.

After some allocation of where to start and stop total height, what his current height is (varies depending on info source) at 5 10 1/4 or 1.78m, the belts are comfortably within range to be 1.75 (as presented by Modery) and the buckle itself at 4 inches wide (variance possibly due to angle of 1/8 minus) by 2 5/8 inch (Much harder to cement this measurement). This also presents the option of using these as known sizes for further outfit measurements.

I am exactly his height and approximately 6 months older so test runs should be significantly easy to judge for necessary corrections.

the cardboard cutout is the one I used for my comparison as well - best frontal shot we have of him.

Also, a few more screengrabs of the belt buckle from episode 7. (I've got way too many photos of the belt buckle by now....) Tried to lighten it up without losing details.

Going to focus more on other parts now - pistol, boots + gaiters, coat.

Jod Na Nadwood gloves...Cortech Heckler Gloves, longer sold out.
Thank you for finding them!
Was searching all over the internet to see if they're still available anywhere (new, second hand, etc.), but as you said, long sold out.
Found a leather company in Pakistan that can still make this model, though they would require a minimum order quantity of 20 which would result in an individual item cost of around US$19. Going to look around a bit some more this week to look for alternatives

Got a start on the buckle. Likely done by this weekend, Just a rough in so even main aspects are off at this point but refinement comes only after the clay is on the pad so I got it on the pad.

My replication process for flat items is pretty basic. One print goes down on the pad (in photo negative) so I can see the edges and then one more to look at. I will flip out a new thread for the buckle and report back when I have STL files for the main thread.

This is looking good!

Finally got to see Jod Na Nawood's pistol (the one he has in his holster in front of his belt) in action, as we have only seen it holstered in the other episodes. Sadly most of the time the pistol is not in focus and/or it is a very dark scene, very few shots where you can make out some details. Examples:

Best reference I have so far is the Black Series pistol from his figure, which naturally is extremely small. Still, there are some details visible

Started doing a rough model based on the Black Series pistol, aiming to refine it as much as possible with the few references we have at the moment.

Hope to get something completed within the next 2 weeks (need to see how much time I have to continue with this), so that I'll have an approximate version of the pistol. Hopefully we'll get to see it in more detail in future books ("Art of Skeleton Cew"? "Skeleton Crew Visual Dictionary"?), though this is at least a couple of months away (with a big "if"...)

I have finished rough-in on the buckle and need some willing eyes to check it out. I have seen some details in some angles and then they seem to be gone in others so I don't want to guess. Here is the thread but will also post my current question here.

Does anyone else see a small lip or ridge in Jod's buckle where I have placed the red highlights?

I always thought that there are definitely three "rings". Just took a close-up picture of the buckle on the Black Series figure, this is how it looks like

And here's a partial view from episode 8 where the details are shown extremely well (thanks to the very bright scene)

I would add the two rings (green) in between the existing ones. Also, at the top the lines connecting the top part with the rings are an extension of the outer rings (blue) (orange lines to indicate the line of the side belt holder semi-circle thingies)?

Thank you for straightening the barrel. ;)

I've put my comments on the other thread you've started...if my description is a bit hard to visualize, I'll draw something for you and will post it;)

Ya, I was looking at the black series versus the onscreen and they literally just guessed. The Toy version is far from accurate. Even just in the one spot where the plates of what looks to be a scale are clearly free floating in on screen shots but the toy has a stylized connection to the sides. Will follow all in the other thread. Definitely going with onscreen as the goal even if they come out with a commercial version that is different.

And just tracing to show the extreme difference in just this one of many areas:

I've looked at a bunch of antennas over the last few days and haven't seen a match.
I think the antenna design is meant to look like an insulator, but is actually just greeblies.

It's a plain telescoping antenna, maybe Realistic or some other brand that collapses into a stacked cone shape.
The other two added cones might be a cable stop or shaft collar. Piece shown here is a cord grip used to secure the end of an electrical cord (side hole is for a plastic set screw).
Hard to tell what the top piece could be. I assume they snipped the original top off to slide the cone pieces on and stuck on a new greeblie.

PS - I wasn't sure if I was going to make this prop, but picked up a single walkie in new condition for $7.50 :)

The two cones at the antenna of the walkie talkie communicators remind me of cord ends like on hoddies ....

... pictures are only examples, not the right ones that were used, related to the size of the originals.
