On a rewatch it needed to bed you back into the characters without spoonfeeding us like so many TV shows do these days..
You know somethings good when the theme tune is Still on repeat in your head and it certainly beats "By the rivers of Babylon" that's what I hear everytime my new pups greet me in the mornings Atm.. :D
I feel that a 12 episode season really helped Andor out. Disney loves their 6 episode seasons but none of their writers know to write for such a short season. Going forward, Disney should make all of their MCU and Star Wars shows at least 8 episodes long, with 10 being the average with the occasional 12 episode season for the really ibg shows with a lot to tell, like Andor.

Nail on head!
Twelve really is the sweet spot giving a show time to breath without loading filler episodes and delivering a rounded well thought out product. Six is far too short but I guess it's down to the story they are trying to tell.
I'm off to London this week to poss scout out some of the locations from Andor if I can spot them which is always fun.
I took this shot whilst delivering a T Rex Skull back in 2017 my wife worked in the Guildhall which fun fact is City of London smallest borough..
It looks kinda familiar no ?

What I really hate and obviously it's a money thing but when a one hour show is reduced to forty minutes because of ad breaks.

Couple of questions:
What is BBY? Is that Before Battle of Yavin? If so, the last episode said BBY1. I'm assuming that means one year before the Battle of Yavin?
So, where was Andor heading to at the end? This show can't be going straight into Rogue One, can it? Rogue One takes place only a few days before that battle.
Someone please explain it to me.

I think the entire year before the battle of Yavin is BBY1, which includes the days leading up to Rogue One and the start of ANH. The year after is ABY1. So no year zero. That’s how I read it.

Yep, 0 BBY is big misunderstanding. It the date often assigned to things in the days or weeks leading up to Yavin. Leading to the belief there was 0 year. When they should have used dates like 0.1 BBY.

Exactly. In modern parlance, you can say on January 1st that Christmas "was last year" and be technically correct, even though Christmas was ALSO just a week ago.

If you were running parallel timelines, as Cassian and K2 leave Yavin, Luke Skywalker is just a couple of weeks away from meeting R2/3P0, correct?

No, it's the year 1 BBY, so anything within the 12 months leading up to the Battle of Yavin counts.

Like January 1st, 2025 is not a year after December 31st, 2024.

Andor was heading directly to his meeting with Tivik which is at the beginning of Rogue One. Tivik is the one Andor shoots when he can't escape with him.

I have just finished watching the final episode and went straight into Rogue One. This show is a masterpiece. It works on so many levels, I cannot state them all. The performances are stellar. The costumes, the sets, the VFX, the writing - this is a testimony of greatness. I'd love to see more content like this. I really, really hope that "Andor" wins some Emmys. THANK YOU for making this show!!! :)
