Star Wars Andor (Disney+ TV series)

Yeah, interesting way to leave things on, but totally makes sense. I have so much to process.

A couple quick thoughts:

I had initially wanted to see a massive comeuppance where she goes out in a blaze of glory, or strangled by Vader, or something like that. But to see the price of her ambitious miscalculations is to simply fade away into obscurity in the prisons...wow...so much more fitting. And so much more satisfying, in a lot of ways.

I'm really glad the show ended on Bix with the baby. We all know how it's going to end for Andor in a few days, so to do this ends this show on a slightly more hopeful note: that the next young Andor will grow up in a galaxy that has been freed of tyranny, thanks to his father. It feels very "Star Warsy" in that way.

And not just in prison, but in a soul crushing Narkina style prison (if not Narkina 5 itself).

And B2-EMO gets a good ending as well. That droid deserved it.

Episode 11 was certainly fantastically crafted story telling. Details best left to others on this web site who can articulate them much better than me.

The one observation I can make categorically is that when that talented actors are given the opportunity, without constant shifting between scenes, they really can be outstanding.

Who else immediately watched Rogue One after the last episode? I had such a sad feeling throughout watching R1 again now that I know how much he sacrificed through the years before his final heroic act. The weight of what people through history have given up to vanquish fascism was captured by Andor. While watching, I often thought of my families sacrifices during the many wars they fought in so that I can be free like Bix and the baby.

On the books for tonight with the Fam.
i liked Ep11 a tad better than 12 but wow what a ride it was. Sad its over.

It’s done - Andor is over ,Rouge one hits harder now, and Gilroy bids adieu to Star Wars. As Luthen said to Kleya : “I think we have used up all our perfect “
I don't think we will see another show like this for a long time if ever but if one did show up its always going to be compared to Andor.
And as much as I love the remaining characters I hope they are not revisited further down the line as it would lessen the impact of their story arcs..

Absolutely fantastic

Lucasfilm has redeemed itself (all thanks to Tony Gilroy)

I've come to a good place in my mind now, it all comes down to if I view Disney Star Wars as different genres, sort of like how the Marvel films do it, we had the Space Western for S1 & half of S2 of Mandalorian, we had the kids series for Skeleton Crew, we had Dave Filoni's Sandpit shows like Ashoka & Season half of S2 & 3 of Mandalorian, Obi-Wan & Book of Boba

The rest (Acolyte, the Sequels & The Solo Movie) were just badly planned disasters

I don't like all of what they've done & I'm cool with that

I have my George films, Rogue One & Andor & I'm happy, I honestly dont think I will see this quality again

I hope they continue the genre themes, I have an idea for a Star Wars Horror, which is like a 70's Alien/Star Wars thought, this could be an area I think they could explore

Immediately after finishing the Andor series last night I put on the first scene that Andor appears in Rogue One in The Ring of Kafrene, when he talks to Tivik you can see that the talk of 'Planet Killer' and 'Cyber Crystals' doesn't seem as new news, & when Tivik mentions the name 'Urso', Cassian says 'Galen Urso?'

Going to rewatch Rogue One in its entirety this weekend

I'm glad I stuck it out as the second half of the season was fantastic. Excellent writing, incredible acting, exciting story, great payoff for sitting through the exceptionally dull yet necessary setup in the first half of the season.

-I thoroughly enjoyed the lack of unnecessary cameos and fan service. The characters present all seemed necessary for the plot to move forward.

-The props, set design, costumes and production were amazing. I loved the radios and communication devices especially the one that Kleya used near the end. An in depth behind the scenes walk through tour of Luthen's shop and the Yavin Rebel Base would be awesome.

-Bix having a baby was expected as it made the most sense for her sudden departure and would obviously have the most emotional impact on the ending. Even though you know something is going to happen, how it happens is still everything.

-SW content geared toward an adult audience for me is where it's at. The kids content and shows designed for everyone can be fun, I'll watch them but they don't strike the same nerves.
