Star Wars Andor (Disney+ TV series)

Speaking of Kleya, it seemed very apparent that she became more like Leia, in both character and appearance. I should've seen it coming, I mean, her name is basically just Leia with a "K" added. Regardless, he Leia-esque turn was welcome.

Right? I though it was kind of interesting Mon's daughter Leida also had a name that felt like a variation of Leia.

Rogue One is a top 3 Star Wars movie for me and Cassian Andor is one of my top 5 favorite Star Wars characters. I really liked the first season, a bit slow for my liking, but I understand they were setting up a story and it's a different kind of show than what most Star Wars fans are use to and expecting. Was pumped for season 2..........

That being said, I'm 4 episodes in and I must say it's been a bit disappointing. Other than the opening scene in Episode 1 and a few misc sequences, it's been hard for me to watch. I get they're laying down this story and building characters, but man, seems to be excessively weighed down and slow. EVERYONE I talk to who has finished this series says to hang on, just keep going, but I'm starting to think that maybe this is one of those types of shows and the kind of storytelling that just doesn't hold my interest.

Wondering if I should invest in the time to finish this.............

Hang in there, it will pay off. I use the slow moments to help immerse myself in the world building even more. Just let it flow over you.

You should invest in the time to finish it

We were the same. I was complaining and wanting to fast forward. About half way through you will be good to go. I might even advise some to just look at some episode recaps and start 1/3rd of the way in.

If you need to be spoon fed your entertainment like it’s Reacher playing in the background while doing laundry, then by all means fast forward to episode 8 or 9. If you want to enjoy nuance, world building , and incredible attention to detail that is also in the Star Wars universe then sit back , get comfortable, and soak in Andor season 2.

I won’t be fast forwarding, and I love good story building, but let’s not drag on. The wedding reception / dance party was a great example, along with some over done nuanced dialogue, and phone calls to mommy……

You are posting the exact same complaints as me a few pages back. Minus what I called the "space morons" in the first two that just went nowhere and burned time. There is slow burn and there is just burn. It didn't bring much to the table for the amount of time they spent on it. Other than oh yeah, this happened to Andor once. But we soldiered on and were rewarded.

Yeah, the first half of the second season is a slog, even more so than the first few episodes of the first season, and the nonsense of the first two episodes of this season with the group on Yavin could have been been totally removed without having any impact on the story.
It really felt like filler to pad out the episode count and an excuse to start the season off with some action sequences that would look good in the trailers
The "hang in there" advice is legit though as it has a strong finish
