I thought the episode was alright. I've been a pretty big critic of the show, so I guess I've finally adjusted my expectations. I'm trying not to nitpick things or get too bogged down in the believability of the plot and character motivations. It helped that there wasn't as much down time in this episode, so the pacing was better.
I don't know if this has been mentioned, either here or in the show itself, but it had been bothering me that the ship with all the hyperdrives was designed as a ring instead of a more normal-type space vessel. I kept thinking that the ring hyperactive was only for smaller, non-hyperdrive equipped ships (like Obi Won's ship in the prequels). I just realized they needed it to be a ring so that Thrawn's Star Destroyer can use it to get back home. Again, maybe they said that on the show someplace and I missed it, so apologies if that's the case.
