Taking a fully science and physics based show…
You’re confusing this with Legacy Trek.

*Hands greenmachines a tumbler full of their favorite iced soft drink, some *Slim Jims™ and a beach chair with an umbrella.*No, I am sorry, I am attempting to have a real conversation about how absurd that trailer is and we devolve back to the one and only questionable trait. So let's focus for a moment on the morphic changes that rearrange their tissue. No. You could change every cell to be a vulcan cell but the organization of existing tissue would not change without considerable amounts of time and then maybe never. It is why plastic surgery is permanent. This is not free for room to move as a literary form of creativity. It just doesn't work. Transporter accident, yep, serum, nope. Next, now we know how to use vulcan weapons? Next, what happened to all the iron in the blood that is now copper.... also transporter yes, serum, no. At this point they would all die. Having now changed their cells to become vulcan and not having the copper necessary to fulfill the needed blood quantities, they would instantly suffocate. It simply doesn't work on any level at all. Could have been transporter, could have been disguises and could have been mind melds transferring the actual training, techniques, emotions and experiences but we got handed Freaky Friday & Face Off, Vulcan style. I get suspension of disbelief, myth, legend, coincidence but taking a fully science and physics based show and just running with "wouldn't it be cool if" and just going with whatever comes to mind? This writing has the very distinct feel of Alex Rodriguez who had his children coming up with his storylines. Think Spy Kids and Shark Boy and Lava Girl. I loved both but they weren't Star Trek, they were extreme dreamlike stories. I just now remembered why I had stopped watching this thread. My apologies, carry on.

Yep, they were dumb. But that’s 3 episodes out of 79. SNW is averaging about 35% right now. But of all the Paramount Puss Treks, it’s the most fun to watch.I was waiting for those responses...
Well then, I can think of several TOS, TNG, DS9, and VOY episodes that you hate too, right? Such as "Spock's Brain", "Move Along Home", "Tuvix", "Threshold", "Angel One"...need I continue?
I don't think a dumb episode or two should indict a show that loves its legacy as much as SNW does, especially when we have atrocities like Discovery and Into Darkness and Picard (S1 & S2) actively trying to redefine the very essence of what Star Trek is.
Suicide Trek!
NOBODY likes Discovery, I can't believe Kurtzman thought anyone wanted a spinoff of a stupid subplot of a badly-received show.Suicide Trek!
They got one thing right!Suicide Trek!
I could totally see this happening.*Hands greenmachines a tumbler full of their favorite iced soft drink, some *Slim Jims™ and a beach chair with an umbrella.*
Seriously though: I agree with you on all counts here.
