It’s starting to look that way.You mean The Orville?![]()
Indeed. It’s starting to look that way.
I think that the longer run time is killing it. Too much fluff over content.Indeed.
Unfortunately, they're making the show for a younger audience who uses 4-letter words like they're going out of style. So long as they keep it off of the bridge, I don't especially mind. They at least recognize military decorum, unlike some other shows I could mention. And suddenly the crew are all cussing when they haven’t before? I know that they can now, but I’ve never watched an episode in the first two seasons and said, “I would sure like to see them cuss!”
That’s what turned me off about the first season of Picard—all the F-bombs. Star Trek has always been family-friendly entertainment, till this current crop of hacks took it over.Unfortunately, they're making the show for a younger audience who uses 4-letter words like they're going out of style. I would probably have enjoyed the rumored Tarantino Trek, as a novelty. But turning Trek into that permanently is off-putting. Not to mention making Tarantino’s version moot.
Yup...pretty much. Starfleet's finest starship commander is Fire Marshall Bill.
hubba hubba. Pike you ol’ dog you.
hmmm… strange, yet oddly arousing. now I cannot “unsee” this.It seems Trek now lacks something that it had in the past-
professionalism.

I gave up even trying to listen to that video halfway through... Ortegas' tone alone is cringe fuel....godsakes, that dialogue. So much unprofessional cringe.
At least she's easy on the eyes unlike Lt. Haircut.I can never decide if Ortegas or La'an is the worst character in Trek history. But that's the great thing about the franchise--there's always so many bad characters to choose from.
Probably Ortegas. La'an may be stolen character, but at least she's stolen from a really great character...

I checked out that web address—it’s just a crappy old website that actually tells you nothing about whatever “The Room” is supposed to be. What is that?I can’t help but make the connection. Will they also keep their banner up for five years?
