Star Lord helmet AND accessories!!! by Helagak!

James Gunn posted yet another set photo today. Gives us a good look at the leather section of Star-Lord's pants without the holsters. Also, it seems his belt goes over the leather section, so they may not be attached.

Well that picture really helps to clear things up. Thanks for posting Thain.

Guess I need some sort holster pad that's attached to the hips somehow.

Hello....
I am fairly new to Peparuka files and things, and I downloaded the .zip file you put up on 4shared for the helmet... but my Pep Viewer 3 refuses to view them. I don't know if it's the file type or I'm just doing it wrong, but I am very confused. Could someone help me out?

Did you extract/unzip the files after downloading them? Because if you just tried to open the .pdo files from the zip folder that won't work.

So sorry for badgering you guys with questions but.... Do I just print out the Pep file on normal 8 1/2 x 11 card stock? Or do I need an architectural printer?

You can print it on regular-sized paper, though make sure you turn on the alignment marks (little crosses on the corners of the pages to help you line things up) if the pieces go across more than one page. I'm at work so I can't tell you exactly where that option is in the program, but I'm sure someone else can help if you can't find it.

Before printing the file, make sure you go into settings of the Pep viewer and state you are using letter sized paper. I think it defaults to A4. Also, make sure you have the correct scale of the pep before trying to create a final product. Helagak's helm opens at something like 234 scale, but (for instance) the 220 scale fits my head. If you do not buy the Pep viewer you cannot save anything you change, so when I find the correct scale I, for example, renamed the helmet fileStarlordHelm220 to ID the scale

So when I upload the file for 3d printing for a company that will print it out for me, it gives the option of MM, CM, or IN, does that matter? Is it one size fits all? Sorry, I'm new to this,

So i started a new one! and added some new things!

Here in the part when the thing that kinda wrap the tubes i added that piece that kinda put it together and its made of 2mm foam, also i used this "i don't know their name in english" for more detail.
broches-self.jpg oh so thats their name

and for the back i used the same piece but at the first line up to down i divided it in 14 same to the first down to up and just connected them, and for the middle, theres a square in the middle that marks the points where it should be (i neither know how to say that lel) but im talking about the pointed line, there you just keep the lines upside and you got that part made.

With the IMAX Advance of the Guardians yesterday here in Mexico i was the center of everything! at least before Humberto Ramos Arrived :/ haha

I'm about to start my pep version, and I saw mention of a low poly file for sizing... but I'm not seeing it in the zip files that have been linked so far (the only zip files seem to be for the 3D print version?).

Am I just missing something?

Hey Brilliant work Helagak.

I'm new to all this anyone know how i change the scale of the helmet for the correct size (paper version) ? I know the re-size is 0.8823529412 i just don't know how to do it...what do i type in ?

Apologies for the stupid question

Matt

kevin, that looks great!! glad the scale came out so good! I just kind of winged it! haha i was really hoping an adult hand would fit the grip!

Anyone looking to scale the helmet files
Scale all pieces by 0.8823529412. This should make for a perfect fit on a person with a 22.5" head. That allows for 1/2" of padding on either side. That size should fit most people.

What measurement is the 22.5'' - the circumference of the skull around forehead level?

Secondly, I have Photoshop CS6. Have barely done any work in 3D - how do I rescale each object [if you also use Photoshop and know how, that is].
