I just stumbled upon this post by pure luck. Wow, just WOW! I've been looking for MK1 suit templates since the first ones for the MK2 and MK3 appeared on this side. But this is definitely my favorite suit. Thank you so much for this! With this you definitely got me hooked to build my first suit. A quick question: What thickness would you recommend for the foam? Thank you again for all the work invested in this project and also in advanced for your answer.

Since this suit has such large pieces and is relatively light on details, I would suggest the 1/2" (12mm) floor mats. If you have a harbor freight near you, (USA) they are about $10 for a pack of 4 24"x24" (guess) but they are always going on sale. I've seen them as low as $5.99
Hi again and thank you for your reply! I was also thinking in something around 10 mm, since it simulates parts from weapons and shells. I live in Spain (though I'm German) and I have been looking around where I can buy foam mats for a good price (the good news is that the "Summer-Sales" are right around the corner so I think I can all the materials for a good price). That's dadpool! (love that user name!) the suit should be right up your alley. The default scale was intended to fit a 6' person. I haven't built it. So it's a bit of guess work. But the pieces I've seen built look to be pretty close to that.

Just a heads up, the Letter version link shows as invalid for me. No big deal, I downloaded the A4 version and converted it.

As my first post in therpf, my first question is... How do I donate to the brilliant contribooters of ironman files in this forum? As others have been doing, I too have been trolling these forums for awhile, acquiring files needed to make my Ironman suit. I figure a tangible credit should go to the ones that deserve it, such as Helagak.

yeah, anything to do with money has to be done thru pm's or on the junkyard. and as i dont sell my stuff, the junkyard is useless to me. I already got rapped on the knuckles for posting my paypal info on this thread! x_x
