Spiderman web shooter: A collaborative project.

I had these all printed at shapeways, the SSteel is just another material they offer for like twice the cost of plastic maybe more cant remember exactly. Its a bit ruff but should be easy to polish up. I bought real working watches that I'm using as the base, internals, leather wristband ect.

Edit: I also have the LEDs and soundboard that I'm going to be putting in these shortly.(thats what I need the alternate batteries for, coin cell is'nt strong enough.

Jolive that's awesome! I wasn't completely sure if they'd print in Stainless steel or not but I'm so happy they did! Now to polish those babies up! :love:thumbsup

Yes, Stainless Steel is a printing choice from Shapeways. There's actually a variety of choices, everything ranging from Steel, Silver, Ceramics and plastics; however each has their own design requirements which is why I didn't recommend using it at first.
Here's the pmaterial info:
3D Printing Materials on Shapeways

@Cowardly: The first and second post has all the info you need. :):thumbsup

I highly reccomend enlarging the web cartidge's files though before anyone else orders, they just seem way too small.

Edit: I guess that would create fitment issues with the other peices.

If there 'are' any changes going forward..

1.) please let me know.. LOL.. I only ordered 1 right now for testing w/the PCB
2.) maybe we can 'design' some of these changes to be helpful for the addition of a pcb. :)

anyways.. (still waiting on my order form shapeways) :(

The stainless steel looks cool and I might order a set. I just finished a simplistic set minus gears and lights.

Thanks Epilepticsquirl for hooking us up! :)

the led stuff that is being done currently.. Id say is pretty simple/straight forward. :)

Im sure you can handle it.

epilepticsquirl says the material is very easy to work with as well.. so thats even better. :)

OH MY GOD thankyou cause i need them for SDCC 2013:thumbsup

like a 'kit'? not that I saw... its pretty much what you want to do..and what you can make fit.

your choice of battery
your choice of led(s)..
your choice of switches..

if you read back I think some people posted about some leds they used?

myself I would (at bare minimum) use some 1206 smd leds if you can solder them.. (or home etch a pcb for them to be mounted to)

Quick question, I'm planning on having a web shooter on each hand. Does this mean one of the shooters needs to be flipped or are they both the same in the movie? Sorry if this has already been mentioned.

If you're purchasing from my Shapeways shop it's been flipped already. If you're downloading and then uploading yourself, you need to flip the face.
Links to the shapeways shop can be found in the Junkyard. :thumbsup

just use the links in the JY.. its all set up for you! :)

it has all parts.. including "both" the left & right face links for you to add to cart..

2 x everything..

and 1 x each of the (left/right) faces. :)

Epilepticsquirl... Every freakin time you post I start cracking up, for some reason i feel like it really is doctor Cox that's talking! Don't ever change that profile pic!

Why thank-you Nancy, maybe after we're done holding hands we can go get ice cream with rainbow sprinkles and catch the midnight showing of my little ponies.

:lol Cox is by far my favorite TV character. :lol
