Spider-Man pattern size issues and zipper location

Has anyone who bought a file with an extra mask had to pay more for it to be printed?
I've submitted my resized file to FOD, and I've had an invoice for another $37.50. After emailing them, they need a 4th yard of Lycra because of this so I've pretty much got to pay it. Just wondered if it's due to the extra mask or I totally screwed up the resizing and the file is huge ha..?

I'm 6ft mate, and it's Orhadar's comic suit with an extra mask. Because of the mask though they need an extra yard of material. It makes sense now after looking at the file again and having confirmation from the guys on here

Okay, I am also 6ft. I've purchased both the asm2 and superior spiderman suits with extra mask and only had to pay for 3 yards
Just so you know.

Damn... I don't know then ha. Maybe I resized it too big. What did you resize your suits to then of you don't mind me asking? I went for 31.5 inches from the center of the mask to the bottom of the belt.

I'm lucky enough to not have to resize his files. Though I always go for the removable mask, the 29 inches (or w/e it is) fits me perfectly.

And you're 6ft! Wow. Maybe the removable mask takes away the stretch that the full suit would have then but I've never known someone of our size not having to resize at all. Interesting.

I did Orhadar's spiderman suit with an extra mask and downsized it about an inch as I was at just over 106 inches. If you had to upscale it at all then I could see the it pushing past the 108inch 3 yard boundary.

Okay guys.... so, I'm about 6 feet tall (maybe about 1/4th of an inch taller than 6 feet tall)... I've equally sized the suit up altogether until the length from the eyes to the belt is 31 inches... this means that I not only made it taller, but I made it EQUALLY wider as well. I have about a 33 inch waist and about a 39 inch chest... should this work for me? I'm going to actually ship it to someone to get sewn, so my guess is that I will just give them my measurements to work with?

EDIT: I edited the file down to about 30.5 something from the top eye area to the bottom of the belt... I used the chart that someone posted on here, and that's how I figured out what to actually size it to (I forget who, but it was the one that had the general dye sub file shape and all the small, medium, large, and xL things on it).

Yes... the same thing happened to me without resizing the file Orhadar sent me... needed more than 3 yards at FOD. This should not be happening.... the mask does not make the file longer or wider.... just another thing that's screwy with Orhadar's file.

Got the print for the orhadar classic black symbiote pattern. I measure 6'2 but some of my appendages aren't really to scale. For example I have longer feet than most people, and longer fingers than your average dude. Should I be okay if I just linearly resize the whole thing? I measured from just between my eyes to my belt line and it measured 29 inches. Should I just shoot for that?

I got my suit yesterday, which was downsized about an inch. It fits almost perfectly and I am 5'6.5" if that helps anyone for reference.

Still a pain in the butt to get into, once I'm in it it's just right.

I'm just about the same height as you and I'm working on my first suit now (from Orhadar's Superior pattern). When you say you downsized about an inch, are you talking about the mask-to-belt measurement that everyone seems to go by or are you talking about just reducing the image height as a whole? Your post previous to this one has me somewhat confused as to what resize you're referencing. When doing my resizing for height I basically used @TheNickFox 's method and measured from about 1/4 of the way down the mask to the heel and worked that to ~90% of my height. I think I had to resize the image down about 5" overall. The mask-to-belt measurement went from 29" to juuuust about 28" (it's like 27.8" or so).

Any advice on this would be very much appreciated, and hopefully I'll have some figures and results to contribute to the thread soon. Thanks in advance.

So this sizing thing is really stressing me out now. I am too afraid to send my file out to print because I am unsure if the file is sized correctly. I have Orhadar's Ultimate Spider man (comic style as some may know it) file. I read this entire thread and did a crap ton of resizing, and right now i have it set to 30 inches from the bottom of the belt to the center of the mask. I am 5 feet 8 inches tall. But even after having read the entire post, I am still afraid it's not going to come out right. Could anyone help me out here?

You can resize forever, and it'll have to be a leap of faith on your part (and to get advice from those that took the plunge). I'm your height and sized the file to 28 and it worked out great and fits like a glove; although I'll caveat that you also have to keep in mind your chest, biceps, shoulders, and waist too. If you have a lean build, you should be okay with resizing the file from bottom of the belt to the center of the mask. IMO, better to get a tight fit than loose and baggy.
