I just love how you put the textures of fabrics into your stuff.

David, I have always been a big fan of your work. I have also been a HUGE fan of the Metal Gear Series for several years now. So,when I stumbled across this thread that combined two extremely awesome things, I was beyond excited!

The suit is coming along nicely! I have done a Metal Gear costume myself in the past, Fortune from MGS2. Your progress on Snake's suit alone makes me want to improve on my Fortune.

So as a fan of a game that is amazing in so many ways... thank you for trying to bring it to life! I look forward to seeing your progress on this.

Smexy stuff. I love all things Metal Gear Solid and this would be a kickass suit. That's a whole lotta clay too. I can't imagine all the effort involved in putting the textures on the sculpt; that is hard work.

Best of luck with it, you won't be disappointed with Metal Gear Solid (unless you play MGS4), it has a great story.

This costume is going to be seriously awesome. I actually have the airsoft versions of the handguns Snake uses in that game in the tanker chapter: A Beretta M92 and USP. I hope I see this costume at Dragoncon! I'll let Snake use them if he doesn't have them already.

I thought he used a SOCOM HK? Maybe that is MGS1.

The M92 was the tranq gun I believe.

Unfortunately this project came to a halt in late 2008 and was never finished. In 2009 Universal Designs evolved into UD Replicas, and we no longer sculpt, mold and cast rubber suits.
Thanks for the bump though, I have fond memories of working on this all.

Will we ever see any Metal Gear replica costumes in the future for sell from UD Replicas? Solid Snake? Raiden? Jetstream Sam?
