Solid Metal Terminator Pewter T-800 Bust Replica Prop (WIP)

Got the arm pistons and thumb pivot back from being turned, they have come out perfectly and are screen accurate.
The arm is coming along nicely. Once I have all the parts I will most likely have them chromed save me polishing loads.

Awesome! Almost a shame to chrome it, I like the machined look and different metal specularitie. As a 3D artisn’t chrome is the easiest metal to get looking right though so I’m just jawing. Gonna be such a bad ass display!

I wonder how many fingers would need to be machined to make it a feasible run?
I will be casting the rest of the parts in Pewter (fingers, palm, elbow and forearm cuff). As the machining costs are pretty high, was around £150 for those 3 pistons and the thumb cable pivot. They are doing the ball joint for the wrist also and that’s it (as that needs to be strong).

I don’t really want to get a quote for the fingers etc as they are pretty intricate, will be silly money. If I got a quote from them for multiple runs It would be in the thousands.

It’s a bit dusty as it hasn’t been wiped down since I made it. But it looked good with some natural light hitting this morning,
so snapped a few pictures.
I have most of the steel for the frame that will hold the bust together, I will be welding it up with a friend at the end of November. Won’t be too long before it is finished.

It just looks PERFECT!! You should be sooo proud of what you've accomplished with this. I'm seriously jealous I don't own it. Wonderful is an understatement. Stan Winston himself would be loving your dedication.

Thanks dude I really appreciate it, almost 2 years of hard work. It is paying off.

Not much to report this weekend, was working on another terminator project.
But managed to sneak in an hours sanding on the neck, as I messed the mold up a little.. it’s taken a bit more clean up than normal. But it’s getting there slowly, another sanding session then I can polish I reckon.
I also am just waiting on the last two pieces for the steel stand. Won’t be long before it is finished now.
