Zombies are real
Zombies are real
Zombie denial is the first stage that one is becoming a zombie. Just saying.
i prefer to think that zombies like in 28 days later are totally possible. all it needs is a virus to block out certain parts of the brain to only leave the feeding part active. not saying that its gonna happen, but i dont doubt that that would be possible. heck, for what i know, someone might be working on stuff like that for chemical warfare
hell there allready is a minor form of this in the rabies virus on animals. making them agressive and contagious via bites
i prefer to rather be safe than sorry
Have any of those toe-tags been headshots from more than 100 yards away? I'm sorry, I have to ask. I'm a stickler for details and from what I've seen and read in fiction about zombies, there's a difference in killing a human being (which any organ or artery being hit and killing them or any kind of severe trauma occuring) and killing a zombie (which the only effective hit is the brain to destroy it).
Real or not it's fun to talk about our preparedness strategies. Besides, if the CDC has an official zombie page:
CDC - Blogs - Public Health Matters Blog – Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse
Kind of makes ya wonder...
(and yes I know the real reason why they posted that)
Depending on the type of ammunition you're running you might get a kill at a 100 yards. However this is extremely dependent on the operators knowledge of his weapon and finding that perfect match to his/her rifle. So a TV survivor would be perfect! :lol
As for the toe tags, I remember a guy whose drunk buddy thought it'd be funny to tag him with his rifle while squirrel hunting. He had the mentality that a .22 couldn't hurt anybody. dumba@@...
Also, wasn't Carl's revolver a .22? I didn't pay attention but it'd make sense for the little guy to carry one.
There are no zombies in 28 Days Later. They are only people infected by a virus. By definition, a zombie is a re-animated corpse. Saying the infected in 28 Days Later are zombies is like saying that Terminators are Battlebots. The infected in 28 Days Later are similar to The Family from The Omega Man (they are infected with a virus. In the Family's cause, it leaves them unable to be out in the sun, but you don't call them vampires). If they are re-animated corpses, then they're zombies. If they're victims of a virus that's ups the level of rage, they're infected.
You've been watching Matt and West versus the Zombie Apocalypse, haven't you.

When a bunch of civilians get ahold of a Mk 19 during the zombie apocalypse, I'm running far far away. They'll be handing out Darwin awards at that shindig.
Military vehicles tend to get gallons to the mile. It's not as easy as you think. Fun to think so, but it's fun to think of how to survive.
thats what im allways preaching. zombie apocalypse wouldnt be fun. all the make believe things that people write here are not realistic. it seems like some think that they would be the only people trying to get stuff.
getting into a military base is hard as it is. getting into a military base where everything tries to kill you for food is close to impossible. weapon shops and grocery shops will be overrun by survivors, and all it takes is one zombie. id say the best bet for food would be farms somewhere around the country. there might be a few zombies there, but not nearly as much as somewhere around shops.
Aint that the truth. Those things are tricky. Saw a gunner put a round into the berm right outside out main gate in Iraq because he missed a step clearing it.

Anyone watch this show and thing "that's nuts", "are you stupid", "I sure as heck wouldn't do things this way"? That RV of their is the first thing that makes me (and most folks) shake my head. Then again i'm in a rural area so it would take zombies a while to get to you if you head into an area with little around it.
I am shocked I havent seen anyone with a .22 rifle
Cheap ammo, can carry a lot of it and I am sure it can penetrate a skull.
Plus its a lot quieter, and then add a suppressor onto it (even home made). Damn near silent.
