SLAVE 1. 1/6 SCALE BUILD

Does anyone know when Studio Scale Modelers is going to be taking new registrations again? I've wanted to join for ages, and all this has been reminding me that I can't actually view anything on that forum. GEEK1138, your work is fantastic. I am loving seeing your boatbuilding skills, tools, and materials going to this. I have adored this ship since 1980. I always wished we might see it in action in a way its backstory at the time hinted at. AOTC just didn't do it justice.

Thanks for the comments and questions guys;
I don't actually have the 'Slave driver' himself but they will be reunited when the ship lands in Germany.

It's pretty heavy...maybe 250/300 kg. It will be displayed in a Star wars museum. The link to the museum is; outpost one

Just me working on it...usually have my son helping out but can't do that at the moment

I tried for ages to register on SS modelers without success but someone on here said that I should contact the admin/curator of the site, Jason Wright on his FB page, and he sorted it for me

Should have an update in a coupla days with more progress

I would like to see some pictures with a 1/6 Boba

Any idea how much it weighs? Where are you going to display/ store it?
Holly **** this is looking amazing. How many of you are working on this?

OK mini update. Got the interior of the boarding ramp done and lit...bit of artistic licence here, as there are no screen shots of this area of Boba'a ship. I sort of based it on the AOTC jango scene and the Bandai toy pic. Will be adding a foot ramp too that doubles as a stabiliser
Also the scribing and greeblies on the skirt are done

And the pipes leading to the cannons

Thanks guys...awesome comments.
So, tinkering away as usual...reckon it's well on the way now. The size and mass of this thing feels like working on a truck. 'My other car is a Slave 1'
Added the ramp

and finished filling/sanding/scribing and painting the front skirt

this is pretty incredible and I'm amazed at how fast you're going. I know, lockdown, plenty of time, but still

...

Ah, I suspected it would land at the Outpost One! One more reason to make the trip to Northern Germany!

Cheers guys...Thought I'd post a quick update as I have fitted the wings! Non-trivial, to say the least. Plenty more to do to get all the greeblies in the wells etc but it feels like another hurdle has been crossed. It would be nice to permanently attach them but there's no way she would fit into a haulage truck if I did...plus adding to the already significant weight. I will have to make the wings and greeblies more modular so they can be removed and fitted in reverse order...I'll figure it out
