Show your custom Lightsabers!

He said to say "HI" to everyone and was impressed to hear he was remembered. --Ed

After that amazing Vault of his, there's no way he's going to be forgotten anytime soon.

All those button head Allen screws aren't really doing it for me, but I LOVE the lever!

Nice work, guys. Customs simply are not easy to make look the part!

Well, my buddy, Mike (Lightech Industries) and I went through his "Parts Boxes" and cobbled together 2 more custom lightsabers.
Here they are...enjoy!!! --Ed

I posted in my own thread, but I HAD to put it here as well, heh.

What Rey SHOULD have done with the graflex in Episode 9!

"The Reymore"! (Cuz it's like a clamore in size... and It's Rey's)

I’ve been trying to hone down a personal hilt design for a long time. This is v5, modeled in Fusion 360. It’s a lot harder to get that wonderful “found-object” look with 3D modeling, but it’s something at least

Edit: Probably final version

Looks great! The final version pommel suits my personal preferences better. IMO the first one "packs much back" for a hilt of that length. If it were a full two hander then a bigger pommel would make a bit more visual sense. In the end it is your saber you do what you feel makes it perfect for you. It does work really well in the "found object" motif you mentioned. Once built do you plan on keeping it pristine, beating it up some, or one of each?

Thanks! I personally like my props pretty beat up, so this will probably end up with some moderate weathering.

I love that greeble on the side of the emitter. It's it based on or derived from anything?

It sort of is. A year or two ago, I tried to print an X-Wing model I found online, but after it failed a few times, I gave it up. One of the pieces (the section along the top of the rear, behind R2) found its way into an earlier hilt design as the activation box (kind of like where the clamp card would go).

I always liked the look of it, so I tried to emulate it the best I could in this version.

I’m also in video production/filmmaking, and trying to go along with that “found-object” motif, I also sort of based it on a hot shoe mount like you might find on a camera.

Bump from the dead!

Here's one I've been sitting on for a while. Only just got around to photographing it.
This guy was a bit of a pain to design; the top half came together quickly, but everything south of the clamp went through a ton of revisions. I'm very happy with how it came out, but it was not an easy build. Results were worth it, though. I really enjoy all the different metal textures on this one – normally you need some black or a contrasting color to help things pop, but here it works. It's all raw aluminum, stainless, chrome, nickel, and lord knows what else.
