Thought I would keep this thread going bit more, so much good stuff on here....great work all.

Got my weathered / unweathered kit from Roman (Roman you are the man!) a while back and have been working away on it slowly. still need to sand back the grenade on the damage I did to it and re blue..... but its coming a long. More to follow:)

Will sit nicely next to my Mythos Figure

Thanks man, took a lot to actually damage it, so well made by Roman. Next is the grenade, I gave beaten it, now plan to sand and smooth bits and re blue.... so fun working on these...hard not to tinker.lol
 
I really need a cutter guide or something to add the chrome tape does anyone have one and what tape is best to use?
 
So it looks like you can only buy the vintage in the group...

Dang.. see if I can convince my buddy to go half’s on a vintage set

Can you give me a run down of what’s the difference?

Externally, the static ones come with a drilled cube & a d-ring. Internally, the static ones come with a threaded round center. The vintage ones look like they just came off the assembly line, & they come in pairs. I think Roman said he was only making 50 pairs. So if they're still available, I'd order quickly.

It's nice the static ones come with a cube drilled already. That ain't easy to do. I've seen some horrifying photos of cubes that have exploded as they're being drilled. & those were on REAL vintage taps :oops:!
