Sherlock Coat opinions/info?

No sorry... I don't... it's not majorly heavy and obviously not accurate. But I quite like it. It flows nice and it feels comfy and that's all I care about. For the price it was all good.

Right... had a few minutes spare today to do a couple pictures... it's not 100% ready, have to sort my wig out properly but I think it looks pretty good.

My coat arrived today.
This came from one if the Ebay Sellers from China.
It turned out better than I expected, nice fabric.

Unfortubately, it was made too long - I will take it to a local tailor to have 5 or 6 inches taken off.

I know that there is a possibility of this being mentioned before, but which eBay seller from China did you get that coat made? Are you at liberty to offer us a link?

Oh I am indeed yes! I love it. It really feels "right" if you know what I mean. It is now my main coat... worn it everyday All my other coats are jealous.

This is the first time I can recall where one of the ebay cosplay usual suspects have actually come out with a product as good as the more reputable tailoring vendors.

Question for aposstle and general frosty - I know you guys had provided extra details/specs to the seller. If all the different ebay sellers use the same factory, will we get these improvements from any of the ebay accounts, or should we go through the seller you guys used?

I believe they all use the same tailor/factory now... as far as I know they've made my changes and requests STANDARD to their product so you'd get the same. Personally I'd go with the seller I posted being as I KNOW for sure that's where my coat came from.

I still think the shape of the collar isn't quite right. There's something subtle in the curvature of the original that needs to be fixed in the Chinese replicas.

Yeah it's possibly one of the few things that I have never seen replicated well... to be honest for me it's not a big deal and I know collars seem to be particularly difficult on coats for people so I haven't been too fussed

I just ordered the coat from Aposstle's selller too. They have made permanent modifications to the pattern based on his recommendations, so thanks to him for this legwork.

Was on the fence as it's almost March, but they will be shipping within 7 days. So far, so good. Do plan to upgrade the buttons too.

I've put it off as well, since I live in the South and it'll be warming up soon. But if the turnaround time is that quick, I might change my mind!

The coat does look nice, but I still think it's ludicrous that they think they somehow won't violate a nonexistent copyright if they make their coats 8" too long.
