Sherlock Coat opinions/info?

The wool one is actually thick and heavy enough to use regularly. I've been getting a lot of miles out of mine this winter.

Yeah that's the one detail I didn't realize they'd alter. I am going to have to make those back belt buttonholes the right color myself.

anthonygrey, how long did it take for yours to arrive? Also are the buttons kind of loose like some of the earlier ones that other RPF users have?

I took the plunge and ordered one from tssy2005, any tips on taking measurements or should I just do them the "standard" way that's shown in most online resources and tutorials?

I'm 6'1" and 170 - 175 pounds. I don't have a clue how to take proper measurements for the coat so any help in that area would be immensely appreciated.

If you can't find anyone who will measure you/you don't want to measure yourself you could always ask a tailor to do it. I'm not sure if most tailors charge for measurement taking though...

I figure I can get the wife to do it but I'm wondering if there is a proper way to measure for a coat.

The template they give you after you send payment gives decent descriptions on how to measure each part, there's descriptions on the product page as well

I've discovered another detail that I'm requesting to be put in to my tssy2005 coat: the inside front button hole isn't red! I looked at a couple outdoor set photos and the coat Benedict is wearing appears to only have red button holes on the left side of the coat, something that the tssy2005/buyitjnow coat is not accurate on at the moment, so I sent a message to them hoping that it's not too late to include this detail.

The representative indicated to me that it's too late to change the button hole colour :/ that's okay I guess since it won't be seen too often.

I just ordered my coat last night and I haven't even sent them the measurements yet. So maybe there is time for me to request that detail. The other one is that the button holes in the "belt" at the back of the coat are black, not red, right?

Anything else I should ask for while I am at this stage?
