I never thought about that with antelope, but now that you mention it. 
I can see African influences in the look as well. I am not costume expert of course like you mdb, but just casual observation. I always thought Togrutta's were one of the more interesting species in the Lucas universe.

Another sort of bump to see if this needs to be transfered to another forum?
But in a further update. I have remade many elements of the costume, and have repaired my molds well enough to get casting. Right now I have no movie version of Shaak Ti, having since passed the costume on.
But I have two sets of Montral (one for me one for a friend) and hope to make a few more.
So my aim is to make my set of montral and lekku like Shaak Ti's (same pattern of stripes) but wear them as TFU Shaak Ti and as a custom Jedi and Sith. I have templates of all of Talon's tattoos so I may use them in different ways to make my Sith girl a little more clearly defined

Hi there...
I'm making a Shaak Ti from scratch, and i'm going crazy with this one.
Allready sculpted de all the teeth in polimorph, made a 8 string braid, sculpted the head chain in worbla, it's all working great.
The headpiece is giving me some hard time.
If you can help me pleaseeeeee....
How did you attached the lekus to the rest of the head?
