    Hi everyone,

Heres another thread to spur myself on. I started this guy over a year ago but made a rookie mistake with the measuring and he ended up slightly too big. So its a do over. But its all in my head still so shouldn't take too long to get back to this stage. Gonna make a possessed Dana from my Sigourney sculpt too. And then the rest of the gang starting with Venkman!

I hope you don't do a Bill Murray, 'cause I'd really hate to have to find room for another bust. :D

Thank you very much guys for all the feedback! :thumbsup

Ha! I'd say I spent about 75% of my time on that cigarette.......75, 80 :lol

Thanks! That is my plan, and I will make copies available to anyone else with the same in mind ;)

Haha. I have been labelled the king of all nighters :)

I will be happy to disappoint you :cool

Thank you. Its just a stoneware pottery clay called millenium white. Great shade of colour, best I've found. And just the right plasticity. Lovely stuff to work with. I get it from a company called tirantis :thumbsup

The expression is perfect! Nice to see something with an expression other than a generic stare. The likeness is spot on so far

I gotta tell ya, I have a bunch of those "Life masks" from over the years, even one of Sean as the young bond, from the 60's. these scupts look so much better than any of these. When are you planning to make and sell copies of these beauties? I would LOVE to add some of these to my collection. What other famous people have you done?

    Thanx

    Wowsers mctrousers, thanks everyone :thumbsup

Cheers Bjorn, thats quite an accolade.

I hoped you might say that :eek PM on its way!

Yeah lifecasts are useful but they don't actually capture the character, or indeed in most cases even an accurate representation of the person. The materials used to make a lifecast pull down on the skin and warp the face just enough to make it look off. Not to mention the limit of facial expressions.

I'll be finishing these and offering copies very soon :thumbsup The only other famous people that I have done really are Arnie, Michael Biehn and Bill Paxton

Great work. Did you sculpt him out of water based clay? WED? Also how
do you determine scale on a character?
