Hi All, first post here. just wanted to shared my build of my favourite ray-gun from Dr Grordborts Infallible Aether Oscillators - the Saturn 17. Ive seen a similar post on here of a different gun by the book made by DaveG. The plan is to have an internal crystal chamber and will be 3D Printed. Here is the image f the ray-gun from the book and where i'm at in the 3d modelling process. - Stay tuned for updates

Will you be offering the file-set at some point for download / purchase? Still looking for a model of the Aether Oscillator (printing prop guns is my main hobby), DaveG doesn't seem to be active anymore here...

could do, the files are far from perfect, and to really ready for easy assembly. id have to do a bit more work before is would sell any

Oh, I do not really care about easy assembly: Although I know very little about CAD software, I am proficient enough in 3d Builder to cut apart large models and apply lock-and-key parts to them. All I need is a file that 3D Builder will actually open, it's surprisingly good at fixing topography issues, should there be any.
You didn't go with the ornate engravings on the handle?

Some early depictions of ray guns made them look like film cameras with two disks on top

Hello people following this post. After a huge break from this project and moving house I'm finally working on this again. Some parts got broken during the move but are now fixed.

Added some texture and have chrome painted the whole thing ready for some detail painting then weathering.

It's a pretty dark chrome that I sprayed

Here is the 99% complete project, might see if I can find a clear lense for the dial. Pretty happy with it but noticed I missed a couple of details. I may end up adding them and making another slightly smaller one.
