Re: Iron Man Detail Pieces

Thank you everyone!

I have uploaded the front of the boot to my shapeways shop and will try to work on the back part as soon as i can.

On another note, My computer is having trouble while unfolding the undersuit, for some reason. I made it as low resolution as i can but there are still quite alot of faces. If i cant find a solution to the problem, i might have to ask someone to unfold it for me, if its not too much to ask :)

That's looking very good. Have you considered that there are probably other ways of making this besides 3D printing since most of the pieces are flat?. What about splitting it into several layers that could be laser cut out of Sintra/sheet plastic, or even manually cut with a knife?.

I had planned on for it to be a foam pep. And yes you are right all pieces except one are flat. I did this so when someone makes it out of foam, they just have to drape it over their shoulders and can adjust it however they want for a custom fit

Re: Iron Man Detail Pieces

Hello!

As i said before, i was having trouble with unfolding the undersuit and, sadly, i did not succeed :(

The polygon count is much too high and Pepakura Designer 3 freaks out on the file when i start to unfold it too much so i can never get much done at all.

My question is, would anyone be interested in helping me unfold this? You could either: Download the file and reduce the polygon count and message it back to me so i could unfold it or you could reduce the polygon count and unfold it yourself. Your choice :) but however the file does need the polygon count to be reduced no matter what becuase it is way too high.

If anyone could help me out that would be great :D

Thanks!

Now just to clarify, the Mk VI neck differs very slightly from IM2 to The Avengers. The one i modeled is the neck from The Avengers but they look very similar and can still be used for both. and if anyone wants, i can also model the IM2 neck so just ask if you want it :)
