Screen Accurate Iron Man Parts

Hello!

I finished the neck! Its as screen accurate as i could make it and it should be really flexible with foam (which is what i recommend) and , im not too sure, but it also might be a little bit flexible with normal pep.

And heres to show how it should attach to and fit in the suit. The red circle should fit inside the back of the helmet and the gold part should be mostly tucked underneath the back piece. So this way, my neck and undersuit files should be all you need to use as a Mk VI brace.

The parts you're making look really great, but i you can't claim screen accuracy on these models unless they're directly from the CGI models themselves.
 
Awesome thanks for the Mark 6 neck. I was thinking of doing it out of foam but now looking at it do yo think you can maybe do the version for the ones doing it out of fiberglass and Bondo? We will really appreciate it... :)
 
Hey everyone!

Little update. A few weeks ago i bought some of my own parts for my suit and i was pretty pleased with the result.

I bought the boot joint, arm missile, and ear. I did order the elbow, knee, and shoulder joints and am currenty waiting for them to come in so hopefully soon.

Just to show how it fits with Zabana's amazing boot so far (foam), heres how it looks

I should be molding them soon for my suit :)
 
Are you making these to turn into .PDOs, or just making them to show the detail that most peoples suits are lacking?
 
Hey guys!

My other 3D printed parts came in today! And i am pretty happy with them :)

I now have the elbow, shoulder, and knee joints.

There are some problems to fix, however, and im glad i spotted them now.

The elbow and knee joints, i think, are a little bit small and the shoulder joint for sure is much too thin. But for now, i think they're pretty good. I will fix the models for the future but for now ill use these as some temporary pieces and ill just buy some new ones in the future :)

I just would like everyone to have their suits go the extra mile towards movie accuracy so i make the models to upload to shapeways and people get it 3D printed from there, like how i got mine. Now i do have two models (hopefully more soon) that are .PDOs. An IM Mk VI neck and the Mk VI undersuit, which sadly, the poly count is too high for pepakura even with lowering it as much as i could and it cant be unfolded :( but thats it for now. The other models are available on my shapeways shop as cheap as i could make them for everyone :)

So you can't unfold the pepakura file for the neck for those of us who are making it the cardstock, fiber glass, bondo way? Or were you talking about something else?

No no dont worry the neck is low poly enough to unfold but my undersuit file is too high and THAT file is the one i cant unfold. Sorry i should've specified :unsure

IMPORTANT NOTE!!!

Before you start to pep, fiberglass and bondo the "supports" for the neck (shown below)

Make sure it fits good over your neck and fits good inside your helmet. If it doesnt, then you may have to trim some parts so you can have it fit nice and good on your neck and in the helmet. If it does, then go ahead and add those top "support" parts :)

This really isnt necessary, as i dont want to tell you how to build your suit, but i do recommend it just to make sure it fits exactly how you want it :)
 
Hey everyone!

I know its been a while but i now have a little update :)
I started to mold and cast my parts for my suit and i started to add the hinges to them for my suit.

I used a kinda mixture of what they used for the suits in the movies and Steath's "Suit Up" tutorial. Heres a look:
