Re: Scratch Built Delivery Ship 3011AD, The Nylon Gag MK.1

This has captivated me all the way through, and like Zyzygy says above, there was not a new update which didn't get me grinning. Never a wrong turn, never a missed beat. I have this thread down in a set of links I call "Inspiration" because this truly is an inspirational piece of work.

As a scratch built model it sets the bar way high. If I ever get under way with my own projects, then this is zen masterwork I want to emulate.

Of course, now you have an audience who will only keep baying for more. What, we wonder, will be the encore??

Okay.
I'm going to pay you the ULTIMATE complement......
YOU SUCK!
Have never seen anything like this! You, my friend are in the wrong state. Hollywood, CA is where you should be and we should be looking at your work in the movie theater!

I agree! This would look perfectly at home in a Prometheus sequel :thumbsup

Thank for the ride, gagsterman! its been awesome all the way.
Cant believe its really over.
Can you make a youtubevid again, of the finshed ship?

If this ever leaves your possession, I'd hope it goes somewhere that A LOT of people can appreciate it. Something else that I hope didn't get lost over the course of the thread, IIRC you didn't even work up general plans or even an outline to follow for this at the beginning, just made it up as you went. Awesome execution.

Time for some pics from the convention floor!

This is kind of a middling shot, my camera's not that great, but the phone on the wall in the background gives you an idea of the size of this thing!

She's big. Easily 2 feet by 2 feet; probably bigger. Tony, how big is she?

Big enought to give you a hug, which is what you want to do when you see it.

This is my best shot of the rear, showing all the dark greeblies and the recessed mood lighting.

The dark, dirty back side of the wing, looking excellently grimy.
