There is really no reason to remove the plugs on the thick side plates, those are most likely injection marks from the zamac/white metal plates.Very nice work Scott, expect nothing less from you
May I ask, how you attached the sideplates (esp. the large one)? Have you been able to get out the pressfit „plugs“ and use the existing holes for the screws? Don‘t want to damage the sideplates…
oh nice! thank you for sharing that video, cool build with my parts!
for info, since you mention the "wood screws" in my kit that you replaced with the correct 4-40 screws. The ones i provide are actually metal sheet screws and they are a match to the screws that I had with all my RO-72 pistols, just longer to work with the scopes. The head is also a match to the private references I was shared for this project. So they screw nicelly into the pistols normally and are accurate, it's weird that you had to replace that for some reason.
Really cool to see the assembled propI'm glad you liked the part, did my best to be super duper accurate
cheers

that is so weird! vintage parts and variations!Weird… I’ve had a number of R072s here, and all were machine screws. Mine was original and used 4-40 or it could have been a very close metric I suppose. In any case they’ve all been machine screws.
It’s quite possible they just did a variety of things, since the rest of the hardware varies so much.
