Scott Pilgrim Shirts and Costume Thread

I'm hoping it'll stay cold here for a little while longer, but I'll definitely be bringing this hat along when I go to the UK in January.

Risu, how long ago did you order yours again? I sent Elayne a message through etsy almost 1.5 weeks ago, but haven't heard back from her. Ordered mine on Sept. 30.

I ordered mine on September 24.

For anybody that wanted to see the hat close up, here's a picture. I think the knit is pretty cool, sort of switches grain with the colors.

Here's the hammer I did to go along with my Lady Friend's Ramona costume.

I figure I'll get around to finishing that end cap sometime this week or so.

gotta say a big thanks to Risu !! got my sp tshirt in the post yeasterday and it is fantastic !! the speed of shipping from the u.s. to the u.k was fantastic and the quality is spot on. now this is how it should be, great price, fair shipping and a top quality product. cant say enough great things about him and his work. just waiting on an update from Laamberry now looking forward to getting the bass and sars shirts she is printing up. if they come half way close to the sp shirt ive just got im a happy bunny !! BIG UP RISU !!!!!! and many thanks.

Oh, yeah I know. Risu did a fantastic job. It looks awesome next to my other shirts. Once I get my three from Laamberry, just need about 4 more to have all of them.

Thanks guys.

I've been getting a lot of PMs about the third run of SP shirts, and unfortunately I'm going to have to put that run off for a little while. There's a possibility I'm about to get laid off from my job and I don't want to be managing too much prop stuff while job hunting. I'll post again here when I've figured everything out.

It was a pretty simple build really.

I used a bit of scrap urethane foamboard I had laying around. If I were to rebuild it I'd probably go with standard insulation foam. It's cheaper and wayyyyyy lighter.

Then just clean up any flaws with a bit of bondo. I wasn't using the right tools for the job on this build and the foam broke in several places so I ended up with a heftier bonbo job than I would have liked.

Then it's just a matter of painting and attaching it to a rake handle that I got from Home Depot. It's not quite the right gauge, but it seems to work alright. The "stopper" bit right before the hammer head is just a standard pvc pipe fitting.

Thanks guys.

That sucks, hope everything works out, looking forward to the next run.

Hey there!

I've been lurking on this thread for quite a bit and got buncha good tips and such for my Scott Pilgrim - cosplay and I finally thought to register in here.

I'm a big fan of the SP - comics, movie was pretty sweet and I got all the achievements in the game too.

But yeah, my Scott - stuff is building up pretty nicely, and here's a picture of what I have so far:

Got the Plumtree shirt from Plumtree's website, wristbands (white green white green, doesn't show on the pic) from American Apparel and I was super lucky with the parka, never used XS sized one on eBay, just my size and in mint condition!

I'm waiting for the SP heartringer tee still, I need to order couple more shirts (pixel skull and match pik USA) and wristbands, and I did contact lulu-bee about 2 weeks ago on email and etsy about ordering one of those amazing hats as well. I'm also looking for that dorku hunting/winter cap with earflaps and the jacket he wears with that blue hoodie, and as you can tell from the crappy DIY shoulder patch, I'm looking for X-Men shoulder patches too.

Uhm.. yeah, that's about it! I'll keep lurking and maybe posting more c.c

Oh, right! As getting all the different Adidas sneakers Scott has would be super expensive for me, I was thinking of just settling with his green striped ones - but I noticed that there's no Superstar 2.0 sneakers which are otherwise all white but the stripes are green...

So I thought to order up full white ones and then paint the stripes myself with fitting green acrylic paint. I'll take pictures how they go once I get my shoes =3

My advice to you would be to get all white ones and paint the stripes green with Eco-Flo cactus green all-in-one. It bonds to leather much better than acrylic paint and looks exactly like the shade of green on my SSII's. Just be sure to let it dry for a couple days before wearing the shoes.

He got the green/white striped wristband worn here from American Apparel:

Not sure if anyone else here has pointed it out yet, I don't remember it being mentioned, but talk about false advertising on the wristband. Since I'm hoping to get in on the run of SP heart shirts whenever that happens now, I went ahead and ordered a set of the bands to complete the outfit. Or what I thought was a set. That much is on me, not noticing I was ordering a single band for $4 bucks +shipping. Wouldn't mind so much if what I got was actually what's advertised in the picture. It appears to not only be of lower quality than what's shown in their closeup pictures, it's not the correct white-green-white-green-white. What I got is white-green-white-green. Hopefully this picture illustrates what I'm talking about.

I think I might send an e-mail to complain, I feel like I got a bit ripped off, did anyone else try to purchase the same bands and get the same result?

They all look like that. You've just got it rotated. It should be more like narrow white-green-white-green-narrow white. You can make the edge white stripes a bit wider by wearing them for a while and then stretching them out. I don't know why they look so much different in the product photos though. If you do call them, let us know what they say.

Hey guys, I've been trying to track down the Red shirt with the white bass in the middle I was wondering If you guys knew where I could buy it.

Also If you can't just buy it could someone help me track down a shirt that has the white sleeve trim and collar but no symbol cause I could use the stencil previously posted by Setzer and just spray paint the symbol on.

Any help greatly appreciated.
