Limited Run RUN CLOSED * DL-44 ESB Blaster Machined Parts Set * RUN CLOSED

Everything looks great! How heavy are these pieces?

The scopes are a little over a pound, but that's with the sprues on. Once those have been cut off, it should be under a pound. Plus if you get the deluxe machining, more weight will be shaved. Not sure about the pistons...haven't weighed them.

Its all coming together .. slowly but surely. Looks Great TJ :)

I realize this is closed, but if you end up with enough extra parts for a Luke Bespin, count me in. Thanks

I am ordering 10 extra kits to have on hand for replacement parts.

If you want to get on the back up list you will have the best opportunity to get one of those kits once The project was wound down

Email your info to bobadebt@ec.rr.com

Thanks

Was there any further discussion concerning the break up of the plaque description using symbols. The description as noted in post #432 is way too run-on. We need to break up the description into three/two pieces: Han Solo, Location, Blaster Type and Luke Skywalker, Blaster Type. I had suggested something like this: "Han Solo - Hoth - DL-44 Heavy Blaster". Are there any others who share my opinion?

guys i received boba's email about the final scope machining pricing. i had a few final questions

1. which scope bolts does han's bespin blaster have? standard or thick?

2. is han's bespin blasters light ring notched? or a full circle?

im going to go through this thread once again and try and find it, but i figured if i asked someone who knew off the top of their head could probably answer faster then me reading through the whole run.

thanks in advance!

judging by this picture in bobas greeblie thread

it looks as though hans bespin live fire has a full ring on the light socket, im still not sure about the scope bolts? in this picture are those bolts standard or thick?

To me the front piece of hardware looks like a Philips screw that had a heavy coat of paint.

The back piece of hardware has always intrigued me, its round but seems to have a flat top.

I think we should go with an idealized version and go with the counter bored pocket and use the same screws that are in the center of the pistons.

That way you can use techniques to achieve the desired look, such as filling in the back screw to make it look flat and laying a thick coat of paint on the front screw to make it appear almost filled in.

hey boba, in the ordering process if we choose to add the notches to the side of the pistons, will the denix be machined for the new notches to except screws? or will we have to drill and tap the denix ourselfs for the piston side screws?

Good questions !

I don't know the specific details that well either but I am eager to replicate them correctly.

Is this right ?

Luke Bespin: Larger front bolt. Scope Notch.

Han Bespin: Normal Bolts. No Scope Notch.

Hoth (version): Larger front bolt. Scope Notch

Please correct me if im wrong.

Thanks

I think that Luke Bespin and Han Hoth have larger front bolts.

I can't speak to the bolt head thickness issue so I will leave that to those that have figured that out

It would be too complicated for the shop to have 3-4 versions of mauser machining.

Just as in all of my projects I practically assemble the raw parts onto the mauser for simplified shipping.

If you get the side counter bored pistons I'll drill the holes and stick the screws in them :)

Cool. That sounds about right.

Thanks

Edit: did you mean 3/16" for the standard thickness?
