Birdie, Amazing work. You have clearly put a great deal of research and effort into this project. Can I get on this second run? I posted a few weeks ago right after your first run closed. I am unclear on the next steps, but ready to send PayPal now. Thanks!

Hi Bothan,

It is unlikely that I will be doing another run as these have been far more time consuming than I anticipated and I have other projects I want to concentrate on. At this time I have one unit in this run that is available as one member pulled out. I had another member interested, but I haven't heard back from him since the weekend. I will drop him a PM to see if he still intends to buy, if not I will contact you.

Cheers,

Simon

Simon, amazing work! Thanks for reaching back out. I guess I missed the second sign up. Please let me know. PayPal ready to go. Have a great day

Hi guys,

I have hit a couple of problems - firstly the laser cutter has developed a fault with the X-axis motor, which means I cannot cut anything at the moment. I am seeking a repair solution for this, fortunately it does not affect the builds very much as the only part I haven't cut is the vinyl windows for the top of the handle, which should be possible to do manually.

The other problem regards the clear windows on the right side. I have been unable to find a satisfactory method of gluing the winows in - superglue and clear setting epoxy both leave ugly marks under the plastic.

I propose using two small screws to hold the plate in at either end. I wanted to run this by you guys before going ahead, lmk what you think. Aside from these issues, the units are complete aside from attaching the little 'spirit-leve' level details on either side of the dial window.

Cheers,

Simon

for me a small screw at the top and bottom to attach the clear plastic strip is not an issue. sounds way better than a glue mess.
Thanks !

Bummer. I was also kindof hoping there'd be another run cuz I didn't see this until it was too late.

Luuke, I checked my paypal records a few weeks ago and could not find any that corresponded with your user name. At that point I edited the front page, concluding that it was an error. I recall you comitting originally, but when I PM'ed you for payment I did not hear back from you. Can you PM me your paypal details (Real name, address & Email) and I will recheck.

You didn't? You have me marked as paid don't you?

Wait! What happened? My name was on the list as paid and now it's gone.

Hey guys,

I will be shipping these next week.
I will PM each of you with tracking details as I get them.

Here's a pic showing the power struggle between my wife and I for control of the table :)

My kit arrived safely yesterday. Looks pretty clean casting and all the extra cut-out and greeblie parts look nice and crisp. Thanks for your hard work on these and for being open to revisions to make it the best it can be. :thumbsup

What sort of glue have you used on the others to attach the clear parts?

Also, any chance of some nice beauty shots of the finished, revised drive, like in the first post (that shows the older, original version)? Looking for decent reference to build my kit version without screwing up. :D
