Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Pre-release)

I haven't seen anyone posting it, Rogue One is supposed to be 2 hrs 13 mins

It's definitely beautiful. Even when we have snow. I personally however only like it when observing it from in-doors :lol My fingers and hands very much prefer warmer weather so that I can be outside, and do some photography :D View attachment 686669
You're very welcome to visit/move here, and if you want free tips on great locations/guide, feel free to hit me up :D

Cheers man. :)

Were all theaters only letting you preorder opening day? We have a Cinemark theater and that's all they would let you preorder. I was hoping to get seats for the following Mon. to avoid the rush. BTW, for anyone with Cinemark theaters, has anyone tried their XD theater (bigger floor to ceiling screen)? I just wonder if it's worth the extra money.

Assuming Cinemark uses the same auditorium standards in all their theaters, the 2D XD theaters are worth it for me. I don't like 3D for one and the other 2D theaters practically have no sound system in them.

I have my tickets at a Cinemark 2D XD for Saturday.

I saw TFA in a Regal RPX 2D theater at it was great. I was looking forward to seeing R1 there but it'll be in 3D.

Have we figured out what that cargo hold does yet? Does it slide open and do troopers drop out of it?

I don't know, but I hope it's a bunch of girls and they run around to Benny Hill music.

Seriously I'm guessing it's to either move parts for the Death Star or it's on the planet where they do R&D and it could be anything. I don't know why they would need these to haul cargo on a planet that was completely pacified though.

I'm not particularly digging the new vehicles, just as I wasn't for FA. They're already using a ROTJ-era scout walker (instead of the spindlier ESB version), so they might as well have used AT-ATs as we know them. And the U-Wing is okay, but if you're going to use X-Wing engines and a canopy that looks like it's for a one or two-person ship, don't scale it up ten times and expect it to read big. We "know" how big a ship with X-Wing engines is---it just makes the U-Wing confusing.

... this may just be my Cinemark experience, not saying all are like this... last year I got Force Awakens tickets for XD. The movie was fine but seemed like something was missing though...a few nights later we went and saw it again at the Regal RPX. Way Better!!! The difference was the speaker system. The music was low! At RPX the soundtrack was louder, which made a big difference... it could be just our cinemark, its old. The Regal is newer where I live.

life hates me

Don't be silly. Life hates us all equally, you are nothing special ;)

I don't know about that, you guys do have a pretty nice looking tank museum, that alone puts Sweden on my bucket list.

A tank museum? In Sweden? Are ye sure? :lol
*after some googling* apparently we do :p

obviously the people "in charge" did not get the memo, as usual.

Well, in "Empire" (the magazine, not the film) KK says there is no possibility of a sequel to "Rogue One" no matter how much money it makes at the BO or rather as Gareth Edwards puts it ,its already been filmed as "A New Hope". Which is pleasing in one sense but it did make me make my coffee somewhat stronger this morning!!! It could have been the extra caffeine but my heart rate went up a tad when I factored in the likely outcome for the cast.
Of course this could be just a masterful jedi mind trick pulled to fooling the weaker minded ,there are plenty of outcomes in the storyline that could have a good ending but I keep coming back to that line of Vaders in ANH " I have traced the rebel spies to her .She (Leia) is my only link to finding their secret base."
On reflection that's a bit ominous!!!

You could possibly make a trilogy that mirrors the OT and continue with a behind the scenes story lines. The follow up to the aftermath of the destruction of the Death Star and the relocation to Hoth, and finally, the story concerning the Bothans and their help obtaining information regarding the Death Star 2.

I think Jyn, Cassien, and maybe a few others survive this film. We know of at least one character death and I think Krennic is not long for this world nor is Galen. But they won't kill practcly all of them ala Saving Private Ryan. That would be far to depressing an ending to a Star Wars film. Jyn I think is going to be a popular stand out character they can use in other IP's just like Ahsoka.

Making Star Wars has gotten feedback from the first 20min screening in Mexico and it's universally positive, very positive. Quality of acting, score, overall toe sound pitch perfect. Also some real spoilers!

Krennic has Jyn's mother killed when he comes to get Galen. And Ponda Boba and Dr. Evazan are seen on the street of Jedah and make some very funny comments as they watch our heros running from Stormtroopers.

my thoughts as well but more on that new Tie fighter. The wings are clearly blocking the pilots view. Just lower them down, add a wing to the top
and call it what it is...a Tie Phantom V38.

We saw ONE scout walker in ESB. Who's to say the ones of ROTJ did not already exist?
Of course they existed. I don't believe that we saw anything brand new in the OT. heck, even the speeder bikes were used in the clone wars
