Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Pre-release)

Yesterday I was in a Walmart and saw a Nerf Death Trooper blaster. I took it to one of the scanners to check the price, but it just said "see associate" or something like that. I wasn't planning on buying it, I just wanted to know the price.

That can't be right. I thought it was established that he couldn't generate force lightning because of his robot hands.
Welcome to Disney-canon: we'll change whatever for whatever reason because we can. Then we'll change it down the road... because we can. :lol

The Wookieepedia references "The Rise of Darth Vader", the ROTS visual dictionary, and confirmation by George himself.

I'm just speculating what that figure accessory is, it looks like a web. But I would note if it's not in the films, CW, Rebels or new books they could change that.

Saw some R1 figures on hooks at my local WalMart. Cleared something up for me:
I know where the "scarab trooper" thing came from. Scarif is the planet the Rebels attack, where the Shoretroopers come into play. It's not scarab -- someone misheard Scarif Trooper way back in the initial helmet reveal.

Having Vader use Force lightning, something Lucas specifically said he can't do, would be going too far. So hopefully Disney knows not to screw around with the main characters. I'm thinking it might be related to what Vader did blocking Han's blaster bolts in ESB. They could have done that and made a toy function out of it because it looks like it shoots or something.

As for the lightsaber, I really hope this was either just for that photo, or Hasbro just messed up. With all the reference material they have access to directly from Lucasfilm, not to mention Google, there's no excuse in 2016 to mess that up! I'm not buying it so I don't really care. Just sayin'. :lol

Thing is 98 percent of the fanbase don't care or notice which saber he uses. Who's to say he didn't have both at the time of ANH and just carries on version at a time? It's like the stupid over the armor cloak or under it debate. Vader has proven to change up his outfit from film to film. In this one I hear he has both looks. Under and over armor cloak.

thats exactly how i look at like, take gun owners for example, always changing sights, and different upgrades to test what performance differences there are. vader may needed to bump up the power come ESB, hence why theres some jumper wires in the holes :wacko

I'm one of that 98%! I have no idea what anyone is on about here. :lol The average person like me sees this and thinks "oh cool, it's Darth Vader, with his light saber". End of thought process. I have a suspicion that if the toy makers saw this discussion, they'd have about as much clue as me.

He could be like Iron-Man, having a few suits on each ship or base he is stationed on.
