Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Pre-release)

My point is the narrator's point -- if you've only ever seen Star Wars on the small screen, you haven't really seen it at all. :p
Well, it wasn't really a "counterpoint" then - you were helping me make my point! :D

Why, oh why isn't Return of the Trilogy coming to Michigan? :angry

I had this really metal theory regarding the death troopers

It's that they are a part of an Imperial program which uses the reanimated corpses of defeated rebel soldiers/enemies of the Empire which fight against their former friends/allies, adding a huge psychological Mind-**** for the rebel forces who know

i'm more surprised by the new tie fighter designs.

at least in rebels, the inquisitors are riding modified versions of darths hyper drive fighter (or so i see it)...this looks like something totally new.
kind of like jedi fighters.

I already thought it was known that Darth Vader was going to be in this, so this news isn't a surprise to me, but I'm still happy about it.

Yes, but the only informations until now were rumors. That's why I mentioned it again, now that the official confirmation is here.

Apparently Forest Whitaker's character is someone with a history in SW, and fans will recognize him immediately, once the name is revealed, reports german site Jedi-Bibliothek.

I'm calling it: he's a crippled Mace Windu.

Quote EW:

This character has a past that*Star Warscompletists will recognize immediately when they see his name, even if he looks very different than the way they’ve seen him elsewhere. (He even looks different from when we saw him in*the teaser trailer.) There’s so much to say about this character, we’re going to save his revelation for later today. Check back to EW.com around 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT for a deeper exploration of this shadowy figure …

I doubt that very much...I would be very surprised if we ever see characters from the prequels again considering Disney is trying to distance themselves from them.

I doubt that very much. Disney is trying to distance themselves from the prequels so bringing in a major character from them is not something they'd want to do.
What black (or masked, hence skintone unknown) character could it be? Must be from PT, CW or Rebels. Captain Pancake?
