Robocop Reboot (Pre-release)

Is this thread open to spoilers? I read something (don't remember where) regarding the plot, and maybe - just maybe - there's hope.

Right now, excuse me; the 201st Pig Squadron is just taking off... :D

There have been a few already I think but mostly just rumors. Use spoiler tags and you're fine I think. :thumbsup
 
Imagine how good this movie would be if Nolan had his hands on it? Sadly after 25 years THIS is what we are given. A rubber suit, an exposed hand, a crappy gun, and probably crappy script.

Sigh.
 
The fact that it takes place in the future shouldn't change anything - the original took place in the "future"

Did I miss something where they're calling his pistol an "Auto-9" or is that just what we are calling it for now?

After looking closely at his pistol, I don't think its a Beretta 92 base. The rear is completely different, the trigger guard is different and the grip. If it is a Beretta 92 it doesnt give any indication from the exterior.
 
Looking at that last pic is it possible that this IS a suit? Are we seeing him pre-Robocop? Maybe he's part of an experimental program and he gets killed after this. Then he becomes the real deal?

Or is that just my dreams talking?
 
id say the last pic is off camera where he is just conversing with someone.

looking at the first two pictures at the expression in his face desperately trying to look emotionless, i dont think you can hope

also the shield says: people need jobs not robots

Totally off camera, but the way it comes off gave me a hint of hope. Missed the sign though, that removes hope. :(
 
I'm guessing that because of the way the helmet looks, i bet his visor swivels over the top of his head into place. Why would Robo be without his visor so many times?

Wouldn't surprise me if it only covers his face when danger is detected. :(
 
I like what I see so far. How the acting, story, and music play off the fx will be the tell all. We will just have to wait and see. Example:

Star Wars was a failed project until the musical score, and final edit were added and done.
