Well the are shooting this in Canada. Makes perfect sense to me!

Well, if Jet Beetle isn't slamming it too hard, I have a little more faith in this director to try to give us a good story.

Well, that's the problem.. you don't make a classic. The film will, or won't, become a classic.
If you set out with the intention of, as he so humorously puts it, actually making a "guaranteed" classic, you're doomed to failure before you ever begin. So I'll add "director is a pretentious idiot" to my list of reasons NOT to see this.
Yeah this director is an idiot looking for fame and glory. What the hell are they teaching kids at film school these days? It used to be you made movies for the love of making movies not being famous and rich. That new robo gun looks like a knockoff Lawgiver. I agree with Peter Weller when asked about this movie when he said "who gives a "crap"?".

The original suit looks more like a Robot than the new one, this just looks like the black suit Idris Elba wears in Pacific Rim. Might go and see it depending on reviews, but I doubt it. Will probably be a 12A rated money maker and not the satirical yet violent movie the original two were.

This looks like a cross between Batman, Tron and like you said, the Pacific Rim suits. Bleh
My biggest concern other then the suit is the story telling. The original Robocop, the death of Murphy was extremely graphic and gruesome with the intent on making a point combined with his struggle coping with what happnened (Like dealing with his wife post accident, etc.). I don't think that this new reboot will do the same, instantly reducing the amount of sympathy for the character's story. I think they're going to make it just "another action" movie with no depth
