Loved the original. The one pic I've seen of the new film doesn't look like he is part robot at all. Just looks like a guy in some body armor.

Obviously everyone's concentrating on the look of the costume, but I heard Michael Keaton interviewed on WTF and some things he said gave me more hope for the project. He praised the director, José Padilha, and says his take is really interesting and timely.
Also, comments he makes about why he didn't return for the third Batman movie and also his choice of projects makes me think that he sees something of merit in this remake. He did admit that he took the part in Robocop (as the head of Omnicorp) partly just as a career thing, saying that as an actor you need to pop up in stuff from time to time that will play internationally. But he also said, that "if this works," the movie is going to be really interesting because of the places Padiha is taking it.
Obviously, take it all with a grain of salt, since a lot can go wrong with making a movie despite the best intentions of everyone involved, but like I said, it does give me more hope for the project. And, I'll be honest, I'm not as bothered with the new costume as much as everyone else seems to be.

Funny how Peter Weller did Batman's voice in the new animated movie- and now Keaton is in the new RoboCop.
Seems like switching places would have been a no-brainer (especially for Dark Knight Returns, I mean how cool would that have been??)

That would be my guess, because I'm pretty sure that's not Peter Weller. The only real Robocop, IMO.

I watched a few minutes since I came across it on Netflix and I hadn't seen it in years. Couldn't make it 20 minutes....
The biggest problem is they geared it towards kids!! And speaking of kids, that damn kid in the movie!!! She had more screen time than RoboCop!!! Such a shame, because the plot had potential, if done right....

Yeah, but the suit is still a million times better than the new Rubber Bat Iron Cop Man!
I'm pretty sure Joe Schumacher's batman and robin costume designer sneaked onto the new Robocop production and is trying to sabotage it.
