Robocop Reboot (Pre-release)

I really like the first reboot concept with the silver and black design. Why not make the final suit this design. Start from the plain black, like a basic design because it can be painted with any style paint scheme (like military colors for military or police colors for police) then the concept can be that he is upgraded to the silver and black. It's has just the right amount of design from the older costume to make it recognizable but is different and distinguished. And last but not least.......lose the hand.

You realize this is a Remake, right? :facepalm:facepalm:facepalm:facepalm

Wow. Just wow. I'd like to believe you're actually trolling, but you're not. That's kind of saddening.

Oh, but yes. Someone has discovered a formula that works. Every single movie from that point on should follow that exact same formula, right?

And no, it isn't a remake, it's a reboot. ******, how embarrassing.

Well, it proves the stunt suit or whatever it is is flexible: warps and wrinkles, and a plate or two out of place. And a hold-down strap front and back :) Reminds me of when I was a toddler and my folks would put me on a carousel horse and use those "safety" straps to tie me in the saddle :lol

I will hold on to the concept art as hope.

I was looking at these pics, and I think the single biggest problem in the design is the color. Seeing more details, the overall design doesn't seem quite as bad it did before, but I really don't get why they decided to make it all-black. That's what gives it such a "Batman" vibe. I don't see why they couldn't keep the two-tone design.

You forgot five of these: :facepalm

:lol Yeah well...:facepalm:facepalm:facepalm:facepalm:facepalm

I'm getting a better vibe for the flick from that one preview alone. Think about Dredd and how little promotional things we saw up until the end. I had no faith it that movie being good and I was way off the mark. I think I might be in for a surprise when this comes out.

SO....about the new video....

I like the handing off of the torch idea by making the 1st suit so much like the original and then evolving into other styles - at least there's a transition there, and given that it is a 'remake' I can live with that as long as there's a nod to the original.

I like that Robo is refereed to as "a product"....that, to me, sounds very OCP.

I like how they said that Murphy is made into Robo AGAINST his will...interesting...a vengeance component could be in there somewhere....

I don't care much for the guy who will play Robocop...but we'll see.

I don't like the hand...loose the hand - total body prosthesis...but in the end, we'll have to live with it.

Ultimately, I'd love for this to be the movie that we all expected to be awful but surprises us and turns out great.

good to hear. i was beginning to think they should rename this "Robocop-out".

Lol they still might have to. I wonder if they'll at least have ED 209 be as glitch filled as the original. That hand is still bothering me unless it just looks like flesh and isn't.

most memorable quote from the sizzle reel: every kid will want a robocop action figure.

says it all

lol Playmates said that about the T: Salvation toys and now you can't give them away at the discount stores and Tron: Legacy toys are all over. If you go into it trying to sell toys you're going to be disappointed. I don't think they've noticed that more adults buy action figures. Still that quote points to what is going to be the main failure of this movie even if it's rated R.

Oh no I said remake instead of reboot how sad and embarrasing :confused

What if the auto correct on my phone made me say it? Does that mean the machines have already taken over?
