Robocop Reboot (Pre-release)

One thing I just discovered (may be already known here) is that Micheal Keaton has taken the role once heralded for Hugh Laurie as the villain. Now this is something that I'm excited about! I haven't seen Keaton in a notable villainous role in a while, and he's amazing, so hopefully this is a good omen for the movie!!

I like how everyone is straight faced in the first picture except for the cop in the back :lol

Difference between Dredd and Robocop is that everyone who hated the idea of Dredd came around with the more that was released. With Robocop it's the other way around, the more that's released the more people hate the idea.

Something to consider is that very little has actually been released. I was just in LA last week and I have NEVER seen people so tight lipped about a movie. The studio is definitely keeping the curtain drawn at this point. While I am right there with everyone else on the one image that has been released, I think there still might be hope. I hope all the mystery and secrecy isn't for nothing.

Also, don't remember who said it, but I don't think it is going to be another Total Recall or Fright Night. It is unlikely to be a Dredd, but I again, I am hopeful that it will be watchable and something new and different, along the lines of Dredd.

For some reason I doubt it. I foresee a movie that rips off all of the current "mech suit" effects while simultaneously destroying EVERYTHING that was good with the original. The ONLY thing that I am grateful for is Michael Bay has NOTHING to do with it.
